AGREEMENT BETWEEN TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND KEENA FOR
TEMPORARY LABORER IN BUILDING & GROUNDS DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to authorize the employment of a temporary
laborer to work for the Department of Building and Grounds while probation periods are settling for
certain employees within such Department, from on or about July 7th, 2016 through approximately
October 8th, 2016 or until such time as the probationary periods for two (2) Department of Building &
Grounds employees (namely Gary Austin, who was recently promoted to the position of Working
Supervisor, and Virginia Prosser, who was recently transferred to the position of Transfer Station
Attendant)have been completed satisfactorily, and
WHEREAS, KEENA has presented a Temporary Service Agency Agreement to the Town
providing for such temporary employment, and
WHEREAS, such Agreement is in form acceptable to Town Counsel,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the Temporary Service
Agency Agreement with KEENA substantially in the form presented at this meeting and authorizes the
hiring of a temporary laborer to work for the Department of Building and Grounds from on or about
July 7th, 2016 through approximately October 8th, 2016 or until such time as the probationary periods
for two (2) Department of Building & Grounds employees (namely Gary Austin, who was recently
promoted to the position of Working Supervisor, and Virginia Prosser,who was recently transferred to
the position of Transfer Station Attendant)have been completed satisfactorily, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that payment for such temporary employment services shall be paid by the Town
of Queensbury directly to Keena from the appropriate account as determined by the Town Budget
Officer, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute such Temporary Service Agency Agreement and any other needed documentation and the
Town Supervisor, Facilities Manager and/or Budget Officer to take any action necessary to effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.
