The meeting was callkdre` to order at 8:00 p.m.

Supervisor Solomon discussed at lenght the proposed extension of
the Broadacres Drainage District to include a street known as
Griffin Place. The cost of the extension will be added to the
indebtedness of the present district. The Supervisor stated that
the per foot tax for the special district would be .01C per foot
of frontage to be added to each piece of property within the
drainage district. Supervisor Solomon also stated that after the
first year, it is expected that the per foot cost to the residents
of the district would be decreased by .02C per foot for the balance
of the seven years of the bond redemption for the district.

In the Matter-

the Establishment of EXTENSION NO. 1 TO THE
BROADACRES DRAINAGE DISTRICT in the Town of
Queensbury, County of Warren and State of
New York, pursuant to Article 12-A of the
Town Law.
WHEREAS, a map, plan report have been prepared in such
manner and in such detail as has heretofore been determined by
the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury relating to the proposed
establishment of an extension to be known and designated as
Extension No. 1 to the existing Broadacres Drainage District in
the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, such map, plan and report have been duly filed
in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, said map, plan and report mereeepaedby �F
John B. Van Dusen of 42 Boulevard, Glens Falls, N. Y. a competent
engineer fuly licensed by the State of New York, showing the
boundaries of the proposed extension which will consist of the
addition of a tract of land immediately adjacent to the existing
Broadacres Drainage District, and which map, plan and report show
that all lands within the proposed extension will be served by
mains adjacent to the proposed extension and that the only con-
struction required in the proposed extension shall be the laying
o mains on Griffing' P1ac__4 other than engineering costs, legal
fees and er'als will .be required, and
�- WHEREAS, he boundaries of proposed Extension No. 1
to Breadacres Drainage District are as follows:
"Beginning at the southwesterly corner of lot 9,
Block 11 Broadacres Subdivision, the same being
on the westerly boundary line of the present
Broadacres Drainage District, running from thence
South 06 degrees and 84 minutes West along a
portion of the said westerly bounds of the present
water district about 222 feet to an angle point
in the said line; thence running South 30 degrees
_and 29 minutes East along a portion of the south-
westerly bounds of the said drainage district to
a point therein distant 150 feet from the south-
erly bounds of Griffing Place, measuring at right
angles therefrom; thence running North 84 degrees
and 14 minutes West, parallel to and 150 feet
distant southerly from the southerly bounds of
Griffing Place, about 585 feet to the easterly
bounds of Interstate Route 87; thence running in
a northerly direction along the easterly bounds of
the said highway about 345 feet to the south-
westerly corner of lands of Marion Potter Bates,
and others; thence running South -84 degrees and
14 minutes East along the southerly bounds thereof,
432.60 feet to the point and place -of beginning,"
and
WHEREAS, the estimated maximum cost of the establishment
of said proposed extension, including engineering, legal services,
and materials is the sum of $1,000.00 which will be paid from
current funds to be provided for such purpose and no indebtedness
will be incurred for such purpose, and
WHEREAS, the said map, plan and report describing the
proposed Extension No. 1 to the Broadacres Drainage District and
the improvements therein are on file in the office of the Town
Clerk of the Town of Queensbury for public inspection,
Now, on motion of Councilman Robertson, seconded by
Councilman Austin, it is hereby
ORDERED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury,
Warren County, New York shall meet and hold a public hearing at _L
the Town Office Building, Bay and Haviland Roads in said Town of
Queensbury on the 2nd day of October, 1969, at 8:00 p.m. D.B.T.
o'clock P.M. D.S.T. on that day to consider said map, plan and
report and to hear all persons interested in the subject thereof
concerning the same and to take such action thereon as is required
or authorized by law.

The adoption of the foregoing order was duly put to a vote,
and upon roll call, the vote was as follows:

Supervisor Solomon discussed, the proposal to increase the number of street
lights at different locations with the Town.
RESOLUTION TO INSTALL STREET LIGHTS
RESOLUTION NO. 198, introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Robertson.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Town Board, a dangerous traffic
condition exists at each of the following intersections:
Potter Road and Aviation Road
Dixon Road and Aviation Road
Old Forge and Dixon Roads
Chestnut and Glen Lake Roads -
Ash Drive and Glen Lake Road
Sullivan Drive and Glen Lake Road
Holden Avenue and Luzerne Road in the Town of Queensbury,
therefore be it -
RESOLVED, that one White Mercury street light is hereby approved at
these intersections and the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to make the necessary arrangements with the Niagara Mohawk
Power Company for these installations as soon as possible at the
above locations .
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes Mr. Demboski, Mr. Austin, Mr. Robillard, Mr. Robertson and
Mr. Solomon.
Noes - None
Councilman Austin stated that a school for new and other election
inspectors will be held on Tuesday evening, September 30th at 7:30 P.M.
The school will be held in the Town Office Building.
Attorney Katz announced that an organization meeting of the Queensbury
Narcotic Council will be held on Tuedsay September 30th in the
Town Office Building.
Attorney Kenneally and Mr. Lee Ehrlich were recognized at this time.
Councilman Robertson stated that there will be no formal action on
the arrangements for T.V. Co-axial Cable within the town at this time.
If any decisions are made to consider this action, both Mr. Kenneally
and Mr. Lee Ehrlich will be advised before action is taken.
Attorney Kenneally voiced appreciation for the fact that they will
be notified.
