RESOLUTION TO APPOINT THE TOWN HISTORIAN

RESOLVED, that Mary StJohn be and is hereby appointed Town Historian
to serve at the pleasure of the board.

RESOLUTION TO RETAIN THE TOWN SURVEYOR
RESOLUTION N0. 6 , Introduced by Mr. Demboski, seconded by Mr. Robillard.
RESOLVED that, John B. VanDusen, of the Town of Queensbury, be retained
as Town Surveyor of the Town of Queensbury for the fiscal year of 1968
at an annual compensation of $3,000.00 and that the Supervisor be and
he hereby is authorized to execute on behalf-of the Town a •contract
with John B. VanDusen for such services, and be it further
(Resolution No. 6 - continued)
RESOLVED, that in addition to the services provided by such contract,
the Town Board employ said John B. VanDusen to perform other services
as may be required which will involve the employment by him of persons
to assist in compiling of data, drafting and similar work, and that
the Town reimburse John B. UnDusen for such- additional work and
expenses in connection therewith during the fiscal year of 1968 but
not to exceed in the aggregate the sum of $1,000.00 which reimbursement
shall be made only upon itemized and certified vouchers therefore
audited by the Town Board.

RESOLUTION NO. 7, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Solomon.
RESOLVED, that purchase of materials, supplies and tools for the
highway department may be made by the Town Superintendent of Highways
without the prior approval of the Town Board where- the- cost thereof
does not exceed an aggregate of $500.00 during the fiscal year.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF SAND AND GRAVEL
RESOLUTION NO. 8, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Demboski
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes the Town Superintendent of
Highways to purchase needed sand and gravel for the use on the Town
Highways at a cost thereof not to exceed $.10 per yard.

National Bank & Trust Company and the First National Bank of Glens Falls
be and they hereby are designated ,as depositories for funds of the
Town o£ Queensbury for the fiscal year of 1968, and that the authority
be and hereby is delegated to the Supervisor to determine the accounts
and the amounts to be deposited in each bank.

as provided for in the 1968 Annual Budget.

WHEREAS, due to the increase of business being conducted in the
Town Clerk' s office it is deemed adviseable to provide compensation
for one deputy, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the compensation of Marion J. Crannell, Deputy Town Clerk
be and the same is hereby fixed at the rate of $1400.00 per year.

first payroll period of 1968 be and are hereby fixed as follows:

Clerical (excepting those on fixed salary) 1.70 "

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury did, on May 25, 1967
adopt.Resolution No. 97, which provided, under Subdivision 6(e) of
Section 20 of the Town Law, that the office of Receiver of Taxes and
Assessments will be appointive on January 1st, 1968, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Betty Eggleston of West Glens Falls be and she is
hereby appointed as Receiver of Taxes and Assessments in the Town of
Queensbury, Warren County, New York, to hold said office for a term
of 2 (two) years.

is deemed adviseable to provide compensation for the Deputy Receiver
of Taxes and Assessments, be it
RESOLVED, that the compensation of Forrest J. Crannell, Deputy Receiver
of Taxes and Assessments is hereby fixed at $1.70 per hour, ,payable
upon proper verification of the Receiver of Taxes and Assessments.

WHEREAS, with the .need for immediate advise on legal matters and
also assistance is needed in preparation of Resolutions for and at
Town Board meetings, and
WHEREAS, the Town .Board of the Town of Queensbury has decided to seek
assistance of a full time Town Attorney at this time, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Harold Katz of Town of Queensbury be and he is appointed
to serve the Town -of Queensbury as Town Attorney, taking office on
January 2nd, 1968; at an annual salary of $1,000.00 per year.
