The meeting was called to order by the Supervisor at 8:15 P.M.
Supervisor Solomon greeted the following visitors: ,

The following letter is presented late due to failure to present
same by the Receiver of Taxes and Assessments.

Supervisor Solomon announced that the special meeting of January 17th
will be ommitted due to other commitments of the Town Board.
The meeting of the Association of Towns on February 5 - 6 - 7th
was announced by the Supervisor.
The Supervisor stated that a request has been-received from the .
Chief of Police that two special policemen and hilfiself would
be allowed to attend the Association of Towns Meetings.
The monthly report of the Supervisor for the month of December,1967
was received and placed on file. The total receits listed were
$78,142.45. The total disburseme4ts for the month were totAidd

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE CONTRACT WITH MOUNTAINSIDE FREE LIBRARY
RESOLUTION NO. 31, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Demboski.
WHEREAS, the 1968 budget of the Town of Queensbury provided for an
-- item of $200. to be paid to the Trustees of Mountainside Free Library
for library services furnished to the residents of the Township, and
WHEREAS, Town Attorney Harold Katz has approved a contract between
the Town of Queensbury and Mountainside Free Library as set forth
in detail hereafter in these minutes, therefore be it

RESOLVED, that this contract between the Town of Queensbury and
Mountainside Free Library for furnishing library service to the
residnets of the Town of Queensbury for the fiscal year of 1968
is hereby approved, and be it further z
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed
to execute the contract on behalf of the Town, and that a copy of
such contract duly signed shall be filed with the Town Clerk.

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PETTY CASH FUND
RESOLUTION NO. 32, Introduced by Mr. Robillard, seconded by Mr. Turner
WHEREAS, the petty cash fund of $10.00 as authorized by this
board on December 1, 1966 by Resolution #281 has been closed out
by the former Supervisor-. at the close of the fiscal year of 1967,
and
WHEREAS, it appears to this board that it would now be advisable
to establish an increased petty cash fund in the office of the
Supervisor, be it
RESOLVED, that a Peety Cash Fund of $25.00 is hereby authorized in
the office of the Supervisor provided that said fund is established
and maintained in accordance with the Town Law.

RESOLUTION REGARDING TOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
RESOLUTION NO. 33, Introduced by Mr. Demboski, seconded by Mr. Robillard.
WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury has established a police department
and appointed a chief of police for the protection of the residents
of the Town of Queensbury and for law enforcement pursuant to Section 150
of the Town Law, and
WHEREAS, the population of the Town of Queensbury is rapidly growing
and is dependent upon the Warren County Sheriff's Department for
emergency protection and law enforcement, and
WHEREAS, the town police department was established to supplement
the County Sheriff's _Department, be it
RESOLVED, that the -Town Board investigate the need for a larger
police department, taking into consideration the current and ifuture
needs of police protection, the additional costs to be considered,
and to outline the specific duties of an enlarged police department.
This report shall be made on or before July 1, 1968.

Noes - None
Mr. Harold Katz, Attorney appointed was introduced to the group
in attendance.
Mr. John Lynch complemented and wished well to the Town Board as
a group.
The clerk presented the application of Stephen E. Hall for a permit
to locate a mobile home on Bennett Road.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION NO. 34, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Demboski
WHEREAS, Stephen E. Hall of R.F.D. #2 West Mountain Road, Glens Falls, N.Y,
has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4,
of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE
REGULATION OF MOBILE �XOMES AND MOBILE ROMESCOURTS IN THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY,, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside
of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated on
Bennett Road, and

WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies
with the requirements of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this
board, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned
ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said
application on January 25, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. in the Queensbury
Town Office Building, Bay Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public
hearing in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance.

CEMETERY COMMISSION

Gentlemen:
=' The recreation Committee of the Town has asked the
Cemetery Commission for permission to use one of our
trucks for carrying of water hose used for. flooding the
skating rinks in the Town.
They would also like to store the hose in the
Pineview Cemetery garage during the remainder of the
winter. At our last regular meeting on Jan. 6th. , we
discussed the reguest and voted to give our consent for
the use of the truck and garage space.
