Superintendent of Highways Bernard J. Codner discussed maintenance
of sidewalks due to snow in West. Glens Falls.
Mr. Scott Hopkins was granted the floor. Mr. Hopkins advanced a
suggestion that investigation should be made into the possibility
of converting all of the older town owned Voting Machines to push-
button operation as the newer machines are at present.

The public hearing was declared open by the Supervisor on the
application of Stephen E. Hall for a permit to locate a Mobile Home
on Bennett Road.
Proof of publication was presented and read aloud by the Clerk.
Followin a request by the Supervisor for any voice either in
opposition or in favor of the issuance of the permit from any persons
present to which there were none.
The public hearing was closed at 8:07 p.m.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOP, MOBILE HOME
RESOLUTION NO. 41, Introduced by Mr. Demboski, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, Stephen E. Hall of R.F.D., #2 West Mt. Road, has made
application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an
ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled: ORDINANCE FOR THE
RBGUI ATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside
of a duly licensed mobile home court at property situated on
Bennett Road, and

WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection
with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be
heard in favor of or against said application, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize
the issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the
following reasons:
In the opinion of the Town Board, the property values in the- area
will not be adversly effected by the granting of the permit.

Dear Sir:
As requested by the Town of Queensbury by letter dated
December 21, 1967, we will install frangible base light standards
under our highway contract throughout its limits.
It will be necessary for the Town of Queensbury to
provide the necessary wiring, switches, ballasts, transformers,
luminaries and other system components to complete the installation.
Upon completion of the new lights, it will be the Town' s res-
ponsibility to maintain these lights as well as furnish the
necessary power.
Enclosed are seven copies of a "Resolution Relating to
Highway Lighting" which covers the above* described work.
Kindly have the Town Board execute this resolution and return
six certified copies to this office at your earliest convenience.

RESOLUTION RELATING TO HIGHWAY LIGHTING
RESOLUTION NO. 46, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by
Mr. Robillard
Resolution relating to highway lighting on Glens Falls-
Lake George, State Highway 417 and Aviation Road, State Highway
9379, Warren County,
WHEREAS, the State of New York, Department of Transportation
proposes the construction of the Glens Falls-Lake George, State
Highway 417, between Stations 0+17 and 72+00 and the Aviation Road,
State Highway 9379, between Stations 999+78 and 1031+65, and
WHEREAS, the State of New York will provide for the furnish-
ing and placing of the following items in connection with a street
lighting system on the above project:
1. Underground duct system to include conduits, pull bones,
hand holes, drainage pockets.
2. Ducts, pull boxes and anchor bolts on. structures.
3. Foundations for light standards.
4. Light standards and bracket arms.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED, that the Town of Queensbury will provide for the
furnishing and installing of the necessary wiring, switches, bal-
lasts, transformers, luminaires and all other system components
necessary to complete the lighting system and put it into operation
on the above project, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town of Queensbury will maintain the light-
ing system on the above portions of the project including the re-
pair and replacement of equipment which may be damaged from any
cause whatsoever, and will furnish electric current for the light-
ing system on the above portion of the project which shall be
operated during the customary night hours of each day of the year
at no cost or obligation to the State, and be it further
RESOLVED, that six (6) copies of this resolution be forwarded
to the District Engineer, State of New York, Department of
Transportation, 353 Broadway, Albany, New York.

Councilman Demboski announced that a meeting has been arranged for
the date of February 18th at 1:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building
with the Town Board and the Recreation Commission.
The clerk presented an application for a mobile home permit from
Mr. Robert F. Coons of Forest Park Mobile Home Court. Action on
the application was tabled at this time.
The members of the Town Board spoke in general agreement that efforts
should be made toward development of a Water District in South Queens-
bury section. A joint meeting was arranged with the residents of the
area for February 1st at 8:00 p.m. at the South Queensbury Fire House.

Superintendent of Highways Bernard J. Codner discussed the problem
of sidewalk plowing in West Glens Falls. At present the walks are
being plowed by members of the Pineview Cemetery Commission.
Councilman Turner stated that he has received numerous requests for
a crossing attendant at the intersection of Meadowbrook and Quaker
Roads, at hours to protect school children on their way to and
returning from school.
