WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, County of
Warren, State of New York, for and on behalf of said South Queensbury
Lighting District proposes to enter into a service contract with
Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, pursuant to Town Law Section 198 (6) and
(11) , for the furnishing of street lighting service in said lighting dist=
rict under Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation Service Classification No. 2
of P. S. C. No. 205,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury,
County of Warren, State of New York, for and on behalf of the said
South Queensbury Lighting District, be and the same is hereby duly
authorized to enter into a contract with Niagara Mohawk Power
Corporation for the furnishing of street lighting service in said
lighting district pursuant to the provisions of Niagara Mohawk Power
Corporation Service Classification No. 2 of P. S. C. No. 205, and
that the members of the Town Board hereby are authorized to execute
said contract for and on behalf of said lighting district pursuant to
the provisions of Town Law Section 198(6) and (11) .

The meeting was called to order by Councilman Robertson at 8:00 p.m.

The Public Hearing on the application of U. S. Catheter & Instrument
Corporation for a change in zoning regulations was declared open
by Councilman Robertson.
Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk.
Councilman Robertson requested a voice from any persons present in
favor of or in opposition to the granting of the change in zoning.
There was none.
The Public Hearing was closed at 8:05 p.m.
Councilman Demboski reported that Mr. Stemple and Mr. James Dempsey
have exposed their plans for future construction to both the
Planning Board and the Town Board.
The Public Hearing on the application of the Greyhound Bus Company,
Inc. , for permission to operate bus transportation on Route 87
within the Town of Queensbury was opened at this time.
Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk.
Councilman Robertson explained the routene necessity of the application
as presented by Greyhound Lines, Inc.
With no persons in appearance in favor or in opposition to the granting
of the request, the public hearing was closed at 8:10 p.m.
Mr. Dayton Stemple was granted the floor. Mr. Stemple stated that
the company he represents, the U. S. Catheter & Instrument Corporation,
Inc. and others in the area are all industrial type of operations
and that expansion is planned by U. S. Catheter & Instrument Corporation,
Inc. , for a building to house a laboratory and more office space.
Councilman Robertson assured Mr. Stemple that a resolution of per-

RESOLUTION NO. 160, introduced by Mr. Demboski, seconded by
Mr. Robillard.
WHEREAS, William A. Little of 154 River Street, Glens Falls,
New York, has made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (b)
Section 4, of an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled
ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS
IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a
mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court at property
situated 259, Warren Street, Glens Falls, New York, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit
requested by said application, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned
ordinance, temporary permission is hereby given to William A. Little
of 154 River Street to locate a mobile home outside of a licensed
mobile home court, for a period of three months at property -situated
at 259 Warren Street, Town of Queensbury, and that the Town Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to issue such permit in accordance
with the terms and conditions of said ordinance.

The clerk presented the application of Melvin Slopey for an
addition of 50 locations for mobile homes in his mobile home court.
The application will be referred to the building inspector for future
action.
A petition was received and placed on file from residents of the
Broadacres section of the Town of Queensbury, asking for additional
street lighting in the area.
Councilman Robertson announced that a request has been received
from a business establishment on East Sanford Street Extension,
that they be provided with water service in the construction of the
South Queensbury Water System. Decision was voiced by the members
of the Town Board, that the construction engineers will be instructed
to make this addition to the work as originally planned.
RESOLUTION NO. 161
Introduced by Mr. Demboski who moved its adoption, seconded by
Mr. Robillard.
WHEREAS, diverse and numerous complaints have been recieved
from residents, fire officials and police agencies calling
attention to a hazardous condition created by the parking of
motor vehicles on Ash Drive in the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, it is provided by subdivision 5 and 7 of Section
130 of the Town Law that the Town Board may enact ordinances,
rules and regulations regulating the use of streets and
highways, including the restricting of parking of all vehicles
therein, and
WHEREAS, said Section 130 of the Town Law requires a
public hearing all g on P proposed ordinances upon due notice as
�} provided for therein, be it
RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the following proposed
Parking Ordinance be held on the 25th day of July, 1968 and
that the Town Clerk give notice of such hearing by publication
of a notice thereof in the Glens Falls Post Star and the Glens
Falls Times once at least ten days prior to the date specified
for such hearing, specifying the time when and the place where
such hearing will be held and in general terms describing said
proposed ordinance.
ORDINANCE TO REGULATE TRAFFIC ON ASH
DRIVE IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY
BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED BY THE TOWN
BOARD OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, WARREN
COUNTY, NEW YORK, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The parking of vehicles is hereby
prohibited in the following location:
(a) On the west side of Ash Drive
-- (Town Road No. 64) from the Delaware and Hudson
Railroad right-of-way north to the intersection
of said Ash Drive with Glen Lake Road.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
of the Town of Queensbury inconsistent with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however
that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such in-
,
consistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall
be in addition to the other ordinances regulating and
governing the subject matter covered by this. ordinance.

Section 3. Any person violating any provision
of Section 1 of this ordinance shall upon conviction
be punishable for a first offense by a fine not to
exceed Ten ($10. 00) Dollars, and for a second
offense by a fine not less than Ten ($10. 00) Dollars
or more than Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars, or by
imprisonment for not less than two nor more than
ten days. The third or any subsequent offense
within one year shall be punishable by a o fine not
to exceed one hundred ($x.00. 00) y
imprisonment not to exceed thirty days or by both
such fine and imprisonment. In addition to the
aforesaid penalties, the Town Board of the Town
of Queensbury may institute any proper action,
suit or proceeding to prevent, restrain, correct
or abate any violation of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect
immediately.

day of July, 1968 by the following vote:

RESOLUTION NO. 162, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by

WHEREAS, Greyhound Lines Inc. has presented to and filed

with the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, a petition
pursuant of the provisions of Section 66 of the Trans*
portation Corporations Law for a consent of the Town Board
for the operation of its omnibuses on the Northway,
Route 87, between the southerly town line and the Northway
Town Line, and
WHEREAS a public hearing has been held on July 11, 1968
and with no opposition in appearance, therefore be it
RESOLVED that, permission is hereby granted to Greyhound
Lines, Inc. to operate omnibuses on the routes within the
Town of Queensbury as requested by the application dated
May 3, 1968.
