I am writing to you in response to my review of your plans depicting the proposed construction
• anew, enlarged boathouse on the property referenced aliove aad'to document: our conversations
with your agent, Dennis MacElroy.
Upon review of the plans submitted to this office, I find an Ama Variance and Site Plan Review
will:be necessary in orderforyou to complete the project as.:proposed. -.Specifically, the.pmposod
boathouse does not meet the minimum side ptnperty line setbaak•requii+ements.per chapter 1~9: S-
060 ofthe Town Zoning Ordinance. Additionally, Site. Plan Review'is required for all, boathouses
within the Waterfront lZosidential, (WR) zoning district.
I understand .that Mr. MacElroy is preparing the necessary .application paperwork for tins
approval process. Please note our. established submittal .deadlines when compiling your
application materials. ~ .

Re: Area Variance 63-2011 Andrew West & Notice of Appeal -Salvador
Regarding your recent; October 19, 2011, record of resolution for the above referenced
Area Variance application I offer the following information.
It is my opinion that the Notice of Appeal filed by Salvador does, in fact, act to stay or
hold off any decision making by either the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Appeals
on the West matter until the Salvador Appeal has been decided.
As it is a requirement of the Zoning Board of Appeals for all variance applications before
the Boazd to be accompanied by a stamped, signed survey map then it would appeaz as
though such a map is lacking and is needed in the West matter. Please note that the
applicant presented the same map with a previously approved application. Further, the
applicant has the option of seeking a survey waiver from the Chairman of the Boazd,
however, our records do not indicate any such request having been filed to date.
