RESOLUTION TO CHANGE NAME OF TOWN HIGHWAY
RESOLUTION. NO, 214 Introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, the highway Superintendent, Bernard J. Codner did on
October 12, 1967 recommend the changing of the name of a town
Highway known as Highway # 45 Noyes Road to Seelye Road, Highway #45.
RESOLVED, that the name of town Highway #45 Noyes Road be and the --
same is hereby changed to Highway #45 Seelye Road.
Duly adopgod by the following vote:

Supervisor Webster announced the opening of the public hearing on --
the acceptance of revised contracts with all 5 fire companies and
the Town of Queensbury.
Proof of Publication was presented by the clerk..
The clerk read aloud the proposed drafts of the contracts as revised
for - Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , North Queensbury Vol-
unteer Fire Company, Inc. , South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company., Inc. ,
and West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , and a renewal of the
present contract with Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. ,
and the Town of Queensbury.

Mr. John Bowman, Mr. Lloyd Dembroski and Mr. George Liapes visited
the meeting at this time.
Following a short discussion, general agreement was reached with all
representatives present, that the fire companies were all in agreement
with the proposed revised contracts.
The Public Hearing was declared closed by the Supervisor at 8:40 p.m.
RESOLUTION NO. 216, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, the Town Board adopted ,Resolution No. 210 authorizing a public
hearing on a proposal to amend the existing fire protection contracts
with West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , Bay-Ridge Volunteer
Fire Company, Inc.., South Queensbury Volunteer Eire .Company, Inc. , and
North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , to .extend the terms of
said contracts to December 31, 1969, and to increase the annual com-
pensation to be paid to each of said colunteer fire companies during
each of the fiscal years of 1968 and 1969 from $5,000.00 to $7,500.00,
and on a proposal to terminate the existing contract with Queensbury
Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. on December 31, 1967, and to make
a new contract with that company which would provide the same com-
pensation of $7,500.00 during each of the fiscal years of 1968 and 1969
and an additional compensation of $24500.00 in each of such .fiscal years
upon condition that an additional fire house be constructed on Aviation
Road, and
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing .was duly published as required
by law.and said public hearing was held at the Town Office Building
on this day and no one appeared in opposition to such proposals, and
WHEREAS, the efficiency of the five Queensbury volunteer fire companies
is well recognized and the Town Board recognizes the fact that costs
have increased materially since 1964 when the existing fire protection
contracts were negotiated and executed And also that the new shopping
centers, restaurants, motels and other .commercial and industrial
buildings in the territory covered by Queensbury Central Colunteer Fire
Company, Inc. , makes it important that an additional fire house be
constructed on Aviation Road to provide additional protection to the
area, be it
RESOLVED, that the existing fire protection contracts with West glens Fallf
Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , Bay-lodge Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. ,
South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , and North Queensbury
Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. , ebe amended -by extending the terms thereof
from June 30, 1969 to December 31, 1969, and by increasing the annual
compensation to be paid to each of said colunteer fire companies for
each of the fiscal years of 1968 and 1969 from $5,000.00 to $7,500.00,
and be it further
RESOLVED, that the existing fire protection contract with Queensbury
Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. be terminated on December 31, 19679
and that a new contract be made with that colunteer fire company for the
period from January 1, 1968 to December 31, 1969, which shall provide
for compensation of $7,500.00 for each of the fiscal years. of 1968 and
1969 and for payment of an additional amount of $2,500.00 in each of said
fiscal years upon condition that the company construct and maintain an
additional fire house on Aviation Road to provide more adequate fire
protection in that area, but that such additional compensation to be paid
in consideration of the construction of the additional fire house shall
not be deemed a commitment by the Town Board t3opay any additional
compensation to Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. over
the amounts #aid to the other volubteer fire companies in the fiscal
years of 1970 or any succeeding fiscal year.

Fire Chief Bertram Martin of Queensbury Central Oolunteer Fire Co. ,
Inc. , voiced a vote of appreciation for the consideration being
made by the Town Board.
RESOLUTION NO. 217, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and directed to
.sign and transmit to Water Resources 6ommission, State of New York,
copies of the Town of Queensbury Petition for approval of completed
works in the matter of Water Supply Application No. 4984, Bay Road
Water District and also for approval of completed works in the matter
of Water Supply Application No. 4985, Route 9 Water District.

Ayes - Mr- . Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and
Mr. Webster.
Noes - None
Supervisor Webster -spote on the matter of efforts being pursued to
develop construction of Lbw-Rent Housing within the Town of Queensbury.
The Supervisor also discussed the plans being laid by the Recreation
Commission to develop lands for recreation Park development within
the Town.
RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION NO. 2189
WHEREAS, John Goodell of P. 0. Box 167 Glens Falls, New York, has
made application in accordance with paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of
an ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE
REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home -out-
side of a duly lienesed mobile Wome court at property situated
On Sanders Road, Town of Queensbury opposite Richard Edwards, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application complies
with the requirements of said ordinance, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application are sufficient to justify further consideration by this
board, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned
ordinance, the town board shall conduct a public hearing on said
application on November 2nd, at 8:00 p.m. in the Queensbury Town
Office Building, Bay Road, and that the Town Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to give proper notice of said public hearing
in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance.
