To The Queensbury Town Board,
After hearing the statements of those present I must ask the
Queensbury Town Board to postpone any action on plans to use
Lake George water until after the new administration takes
office on Jan. 1st, of this year for the following reasons:
1. The new administration has not been approached
on the matter and since three of the five mem-
bers will not be on the new board it is in fact
a "Lame Duck Board."
2. Additional time is needed to seek a legal opinion
from the state of New York on whether a precedent
would be set allowing other areas even as far as
New York City to use the water.
3. Additional time is needed for the new administra-
tion to study the Camp, Dresser & McKee report as
a group.
In sumation I would like to impress the Town Board with the
fact that thousands & thousands of Queensbury tax payer' s
money is at stake and you cannot afford to make a mistake
on such an important decision; therefore I must again ask
that you postpone any action on this matter until after the
new board takes office on Jan. 1st.
Sincerely
Gerald Solomon, Supervisor elect
