Special Meeting June 15, 1967 Present: John 0. Webster Supervisor N. Harwood Beaty Councilman Theodore Turner Councilman Curtis Lampson Councilman Hammond Robertson, Jr. Councilman Supervisor Webster called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The following resolutions of importance at this time were adopted by the Town Board. RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT REPORT ON COMPREHENSIVE INTERMUNICIPAL PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY STUDY RESOLUTION NO. 111, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Turner �"o A<z T I C &_F V _'n#z--I/A' � L WHEREAS, , of the State of New York has made possible a study grant to finance the total cost of a Comprehensive Water Study and Report and WHEREAS, The Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has received the Comprehensive Water Study Report for the Glens Falls area prepared by Camp, Dresser & McKee, CPWS - 13 and dated March 14, 1967 and, WHEREAS, The Town Board has duly inspected and studied the said Report and found it to be in order, now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board ©f the Town of Queensbury hereby accepts this said Report, provided, however, that such acceptance shall not be construed as a complete agreement by this Board with the recommendations for specific projects for design and construction contained in said Report. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None RESOLUTION NO. 112, Introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Beaty. RESOLVED, that the Audit of Claims as listed in Abstract #67-6A numbered #630 and totaling $2,485.00 is hereby approved. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT FOR CARNIVAL OPERATIONS --' RESOLUTION NO. 113, Introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Turner. RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to conduct carnival operations as follows: Sponsor - -West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company Carnival - 0. C. Buck Shows Place -- Fireman' s Field, West Glens Falls, N. Y. Date - June 26th through July 1st, 1967 2 1.6 (Resolution No. 113 - continued) RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue a permit to the aforesaid sponsor upon receipt of proof of Liability Insurance in the amount of not less than $100/000/$3001000 Bodily Injury Liability and $25,000 Property Damage Liability Coverage. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes —None RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE FIREWORKS DISPLAY RESOLUTION NO. 114, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Robertson. RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Queensbury Plaza, Inc. , Glens Falls, New York, to sponsor a Fire Works Display at the above address, on July 3, 1967, under the following conditions: 1. That a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $100,00 each person, $300,000 each accident and $25,000 property damage liability is filed with the Town Clerk. 2. That the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company gives its approval to the Town Clerk, concerning matter of fire safety. and be it further, RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to issue a permit to hold such fireworks display under the conditions as aforesaid. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster Noes - None June 15, 1967 Town Clerk Town of Queensbury Please be advised that the following Republican Election Inspectors will be unable to serve on Primary Election Day, June 20th and it is requested that substitute Inspectors be named as- indicated: Election District #2 - Sylvia Dougher to be replaced by Ingeborg Lembke Election District #4 - Sarah Dickinson to be replaced by Florence Cleghorn Respectfully submitted John L. Bowman, Chairman Queensbury Republican Committee RESOLUTION TO NAME ELECTION INSPECTOR RESOLUTION NO. 1159 Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Robertson WHEREAS, Mr. John L. Bowman, Chairman of the Queensbury Republican Committee, did appoint Sylvia Dougher as election inspector for District #2 of the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, Sylvia Dougher will not be able to serve at the June 20th, 1967 Primary, therefore be it 217 (Resolution No. 115 - continued) RESOLVED, that Ingeborg Lembke, RD #1, Glens Falls, N. Y. be appointed as election inspector for District #2 to serve for the June 20th9 1967 primary only. Duly adopted by the following vote: Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr. Webster. Noes - None RESOLUTION TO NAME ELECTION INSPECTOR RESOLUTION NO. 1169 Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Robertson. WHEREAS, Mr. John L. Bowman, Chairman of the Queensbury Republican Committee, did appoint Sarah Dickinson as election inspector for District #4 of the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, Sarah Dickinson will not be able to serve at the June 20, 1967 Primary, therefore be it RESOLVED, that Florence Cleghorn, Cleverdale, New York, be appointed as election inspector for District #4 to serve for the June 20th, 1967 primary only.
