The meeting was called to order by, the Supervisor at 7:35 P.M.
The following visitors were greeted by the Supervisor: -

Mrs. -Joan R. Bergsund League of Wvmen,Voters
Thomas K. Flaherty - Superintendent of Queensbury Water District
The minutes of the meeting of July 283, 1966 were approved.
Carried unanimously. ,
The clerk presented applications of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hatte and
Mr. Allan Martindale to locate mobile homes within the Town of
Queensbury."
Each of the above mentioned-applications will be ,referred to the .._
building inspector for an opinion.
Mr. & Mrs. Bernard J. Oedner visited_the meeting at this time..
A letter'was received and placed on file from *. .Harmel Burton
which stated objection, teka transit mobile home ,court which has
'i been proposed on the Farm-to-Market Road.
A letter- was-read and placed on file-from the. law offices of 1
McPhillips, Fitzgerald and Meyer to -do.with the transfer'of j
1 property on Thunderbir4 Drive,,
The contents of the .letter was referred to Attorney Albert.E.
. Beswick for- an opinion; .
Superintendent of Highways, Bernard J. Codner statad that a,

At the request of Camp, Dresser, & McKee, Engineers for the inter-
municipal water study, we have secured permission from Mr. Roland
Bardin, Big Bay Road for their well drillers to test drill on
property owned by him in West Glens Falls,

The Engineers also have requested us to secure testing permission
for other areas in -the Town.
I have spent three days this month with .representatives of
Joseph Kestner compiling daily consumption rates, etc. for the
Bend of the River Sewer Study.
We took delivery of a 1966 Ford F 100 F.W.D. pickup and plow,
purchased under State Contract.

---� The Dodge pickup had repairs made to the transmission under terms
of the warranty.
WORK COMPLETED ,
Sunset Drive:
Repaired and relocated service line.
Route 9:
' Disconnected and removed 2 service lines at the Lebowitz
property.
Installed second 2 inch tap and meter at Story Town,
Ridge Road:
Repaired service line, curb box, and main line valve box
damaged by the contractor working in,: that area. At the-,_
same time we remarked all curb boxes and gate valve boxes to
prevent further damage.
Sargent Street:
Repaired leaking 6 inch tapping valve. Permanent repairs will
be made to the street as soon as the fill. cempacts and hardens
enough to let us work equipment on it.
Cline Street and Meadowbrook Road:
Located and raised and cleaned gate valve boxes.
Twicwood Development:
installed 2 serv:Lce connections.
West Glens Falls.
Newcomb Street:
Installed service connection.
Shore Colony:
Routine inspection and test were made. Again :this month the
Raw water sample taken from this area was classified as un-
satisfactory. However after treatment the water proved
satisfactory.

This is the first month in which our production and consumption
has been in excess of 1,000,000 gallons perday. , ,This-represents
a daily increase of 74 per cent over June, 1966 and a increase of
15 percent over July 1965.

The Report of New Construction for,the month of July 1966 was. '
presented by the Supervisor. There were 29 reports received for
the month,
On a statement by the Supervisor, all reports were received and
placed on file.
Following discussion the Town Board in its entirety approved
the plans and "Specs" as prepared by Councilman Hammond ,Robertson,
Jr. , for the installation of blinker lights on Aviation Road.
RESOLUTION NO. 193, Introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by� Mr. Lampson.
WHEREAS, Hammond Robertson, Jr. , Councilman of the Town of Queensbury,
has .prepared .plans and specs -for the installation of Blinker Lights
on Aviation Road, Town of Queensbury and the plans and specs have
been approved by the Town Board, be it
RESOLVED that-,--- the Town_ Clerk. is authorized and directed.to cause
the following notice- to- biddere to` be published in the Post Star
and the Glens Falls Times, prior to, August -8th, 1966. -
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, Warren County,
New York, invites sealed bids for the installation of Blinker Lights
on Aviation Road, Town of Queensbury, in the vicinity of the
Queensbury Schools. The plans and specifications can be.-picked up
at the Town Clerks- Office, 95 Dixon Road during office hours each
week day.
Bids will be received -on August 18th, 1966 until 7:00 p.m. at
the Town Clerks Office, 95 Dixon Road, The Town Board will meet
in the library of the Queensbury Junior High. Scllool 75 Aviation
load at 7:30 p.m. on August 18th, 1966; at which time-.the bids will
be publicly opened and read aloud.
All bids should be enclosed in opaque envelopes ,marked
"Aviation Road Traffic Lights".
The Town Board reserves the right -to reject any or all bids.

RESOLUTION NO. 194, Introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr, , Beaty.•
Whereas, there has- been presented to and filed with the,
Town Board 'of 'the T6*m of Queensbury, Warren-County, °New-York, a
petition for the establiAment of a residential area within the
Lake George Park pursuant to the provisions -'of Article 13�-c of the
General Municipal Law, which proposed residential area is
described in said petition es follows:
"Beginning on the easterly shore of Warner Bay at
LIf The southwesterly corner of lands of Richard Palmer;
running from thence in an easterly direction along the
southerly bounds thereof to the center of Pilot Knob
Road; thence running southerly along the center of Pilot
Knob Road to the intersection of• the same with the center
of New York State Highway number 9-L; thence running in
a southerly direction along the center of the said State
road to a point therein where the same is intersected by
the extension' weaterly �6f the southerly bounds of the
lands of Murray Crannell; thence running easterly to the
mrouthwesterly corner of the said lands of Murray Crannell;
thence running easterly along the southerly bounds of the
lands of Murray Crannell to the southeasterly corner
thereof and continuing the same course easterly to the
Warren - Washington County line; thence running northerly
along the said county line until it reaches the shore 'of
Lake George; thence running southerly along the shore of
Lake George to the point a - place of beginning," and
Whereas, the said petition proposee to prohibit the use of
all property within the above described area for all industrial
and commercial purposes, except that an owner of real property in
the above described area may angage in the business of renting or
leasing buildings for single, private residential -Purposes and
furnish service incidental thereto provided such incidental der-
vices shall not include the furnishing of food; and
Whereas, the petition requests that the proposed residential
area be known as the Kattskill Bay Residential Area, and
Whereas, it is provided by Section 281 of the General
Municipal Law*that the Town Board shall hold a public hearing on
such petition, be it '
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury,
Warren County, New York, meet at the Queensbury Junior High School
on Aviation Road in said town on the 25th day of August, 1966; at
7:30 o'clock, P.M. (DST) to consider said petition and that all
persons interested in the matter of -said petition to establish
the Kattskill Bay Residentiil`Area^as described in said petition
will be heard at that time and. place concerning the same, and be
it further
LL1 RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized
j and directed to give notice of such public hearing by causing a
certified copy of this resolution to be published once in the
Post Star an$d Glens Falls Times not less than tell nor more than
twenty days before the date of such hearing, by posting a certified
copy of this resolution on the bulletint-board at the Town Clerk' s
office, and by mailing a copy of this resolution by registered
mail, return receipt requested, to each resident owner of real

Supervi§or Webster requested a voice of opinion from any Persons
present, either in opposition or in favor of the granting of the
permit As requested, There were none.
The public hearing was closed at 7:35 p.m.
Following. a request of the Supervisor for a. consensus of opinion
on the granting of the permit; it was stated that the permit would
be granted. i
