Subject: A. P. C. Sewer.
At this time I would like to recommend that before we repair
Broadacres Rd. , that we relay a section of sewer main and coo away
with the two forty five degree elbows which I have been very much
disappointed with from the first installation.
We had a clogged line there on May r, 1965. The City Line
was also plugged.
There is a distance of about four hundred and fifty feet be-
tween our man hole at Broad Acres and Lucerne Rlaae and the nearest
City man hole.
9
(A. P. C. Sewer letter - continued)
I therefore would like to recommend that a. man hole be installed
at a point in the main just inside of the Town line, The City then
could work: from it. The Town would know that we were clean up
to that point.
The present main lies in direct line with the storm sewer, and
shouldbe relayed back a sufficient distance to make a long curve in-
stead of the two forty-five angles.
Clean up week has been very such missused and we have already
collected over one hundred fifty loads of refuse containing over
fifty percent brush and pine needles. It will at least take one
more week If we have good weather.
Very respectfully,
Bernard J. Codner
Supt. of Highways
Supervisor Webster questioned Superintendent Codner as to the possible
cost of the repairs as suggested. Discussion ensued.
Mr. Kenneth R. Windover, Jr. , and Mr. Douglas Windover were welcomed
to the town board meeting to discuss the complaints as requested by
the Superintendent of the Queensbury W&tex District and Supervisor
Webster at an earlier date to do with sales efforts to provide water
softener equipment to. home owners in the Town of Queensbury. They
Apologized for the activity of his sales representatives, who seemed
to cast reflections on the condition- of the water being supplied by
Queensbury Water District.
W. Robert Baker visited the meeting at this time to discuss the
. removal of trees at .the location of the town dump. Superintendent of
Highways, Bernard J. Codner , stated recently that trees were removed
by Mr. Baker some time ago. Mr. Baker stated that he was definitly
mis-+informed as to the boundaries at the location in question. , The
six trees from the town dump property have been Billed to Mr. Baker
for .an amount of $300.00. Agreement was reached on -a settlement of
$30.-00 to compensate the Town of Queensbury for damages as discussed.
Supervisor Webster issued a receipt for the payment in full as agreed
upon.
The report of New Construction was received and placed on file.
There were 34 reports filed during April, 1965.

Subject: Mount Royal Motel, Water Rent.
This is a motel consisting of 28 double units, 1 swimming pool,
and 6 hose outlets. If we assume that we will bill for 1 hose
regardless of 'the .number of .outlets this property would-be billed
as-follows. . .
.$10.00 per double unit $10.00 per pool$ 8.00 hose charge per .May -billing
In May 1965 the bill was. : 28 units $280.00
. 1 pool 10.00
1 hose 8.00
$298.00
50
(Queensbury Water Department letter - continued) .
In Nov. the -bill will be $280.00
A total water rent per year of $498.00
Mr. Cormuss feels, that this water rent is unduly high.- He feels
that they might have to close the motel during, the winter as the
units are not all always rented and the business does not warrant
this amount. I feel that the answer to this is to install a meter
at this ,property,
* In May of 1964 their hill was $196. 00
In Nov. of 1964 their bill was $168.00
Total $864.00
Apparently the property was not inventoried. Mr. Cormuss also
pays water rent on several other properties in the same area.
Respectfully
Thomas K. Flaherty
Decision was reached ,by the Town Board that. a meter should be
installed at the location in- question. „

Dear lair. Webster:
The proposed location of this' Mobile .Home is shown on the new
attached map and will probably be the best building on this property.
Water will `be piped from the private supply (we'll) ,from the-Durway
dwelling 20' distant. The septic' tank of the same• dwelling, will be
utilized for waste from the Mobile home.
There are two other unoccupied Mobile homes on this property, one of
which' is Entirely enclosed in a concrete block and frame building
with independent floor, walls and roof. It appears as if it is placed
in here 'for storage, utilities disconnected. The other is a small
aluminum trailer which has been sold and will be removed when it is
paid for.
The map shows the approximate location of buildings, not drawn to any
scale. Mr. Gerald J. Richardson, owner of the premises stated that
the approximate size of property 'is 350' x 550' .
There are a number of old lumber piles on the property and a couple
vf`Aeds -uhioh Mr Durway' states will be -removed- and burned He has
cleared=a-"great deal ;of =this ,mess ;--so far and promises- to have all of
it gone within a year.
1'reeommend that this application be approved.

Dear Mr. Webster: x
I checked the Mobile. homes located on the Farm To Market Road on ,
the property formerly owned by George Stiles and didnot find any
new ones.
There are four Mobile homes in this vicinity namely, A.T.: Culley, -
Roscoe Ingraham, Fred Shuster and Marshall Fowler. Three of these
are registered, the .fourth, Fred Shuster is not. His trailer home
has a frame enclosure so that it appears like a one story frame
- dwelling. This was done a year ago. He has been awayfor about a
week so -I -could not talk to him about the registration of his place.
The Culley's returned- from Glorida with their Mobile home last week
after being there since October. They stated that they did not plan
to take their trailer with them again and expected to add a patio or
addition to it and leave it at it is present location.-.- !
John Stranahan - Bay Road
Permission refused for trailer home on his property. I inspected
this property last night to findy `out .if this trailer was being
occupied and I don't believe it has -been used. The owner stated
that he did not want to be arrested *as he wesr already in disfavor
with the Town Board and he didn't know the reason. This trailer
has two bedrooms, bath and living room. None of the !utilities .
have been connected. Mr. Stranahan stated that he wanted to use
it for sleeping quarters only, for four of his sons. He has. .
eleven children, two of whom are married, two are living where they —
work and the others are home. There are two bedrooms in his one
story concrete block house, one room occupied by-himself -and wife
and the other by the two daughters who are,.at home. The,boys sleep
on the floor of combination living room and kitchen.
The trailer is located several hundred feet from Bay Road and can
barely be seen from the road, - If it was°moved back .another hundred
feet I would approve it for .the purpose intended. I do not consider
it a detriment `to the property or to the locality in general.
General conditions of the premises is messy and probably always will
be, the one redeeming feature being that in friving past on Bay Road
one gets only a glimpse of it due to the distance removed.
MrS. Anthony Renado
Mobile Home - Lower 116 Dix Ave.
The trailer home is located on the premises of Mrs Renado.'s mother,
Mrs. Carl Stotkweli It, has'* been ,here seven years and it• is not „
registered.
Mrs. Renado works so. was not at home.- I talked with her Mother. and —
she stated that after school is out Mrs. Renado plans to move,
taking the trailer and her family to some other location. ••I advised
her that she was in violation of the Town Ordinance and should.. make
application to the Town Clerk for approval.
