1965-05-13 56 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE PERMIT TO IMPROVE OR SUBSTITUTE MOBILE HOME RESOLUTION NO. 102, introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by :Mr. Lampson. WHEREAS, Left Robillard of 17 Richardson Street, West Glens Falls, New York, has made application to this board for a permit to Replace a presently owned Mobile Home, which has become defective. This mobile home will be replaced by the original supplier, at property situated at 17 Richardson Street, West Glens Falls, New York, and owned by Lena Robillard, and WHEREAS, upon proper investigation it appears that the applicant has complied with all of the requirements of the ordinance regulations relating to mobile homes in the Town of Queensbury, — therefore be it RESOLVED, THAT THE APPLICATION of Lena Robillard as above described is hereby approved and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and. directed to issue to Lena Robillard the proper permit. Visitors greeted were as follows: Mrs. Inez Mosher - Mobile Home applicant Ralph Btothers - Interested in Mobile Home Juliette Ellingsworth - League of Won= Voters • Thomas K. Flaherty - Superintendent of Queensbury Water-District. Bernard Zovistoski - The- Post Star- Bernard J. Codner - Superintendent of Highways LeRoy Phillips, Chief of Police Leon Nassivera - Chairman of Assessors ° Allan DuFour - Chief - South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company Erwin Harvey - Bouth Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company Charles Scudder - Senior Sanitary Engineer Marion J. Crannell - Deputy Town- Clerk Supervisor Webster declared the public hearing open on the application of Inez May Mosher to locate a Mobile Home outside of a duly licensed Mobile Home Court. Proof of publication was presented by the clerk. Reading of the notice was dispensed with at this time. The original application was read by the clerk. 57 Supervisor Webster requested any voice from persons in opposition to the granting of the request. There were none. The bearing was declared closed. The town board in its entirety voiced its general approval of, the application,. Same will be resolved at a later time in this meeting. Mr. LeRoy Phillips, Chief of Police reported on the results of the court hearings of a week ago to do with summons which were issued on tcharge of littering. A general report of the activities of the Police Department to date was advanced by Chief Phillips. Mr. Phillips again requested more help in the police department. Mr. Charles Scudder, Senior Sanitary Engineer with the Lake George Park Commission discussed a proposed ordinance which would control and supervise all building within the Lake George Park. Commission. Mr. Scudder proceeded to explain the aims of the proposed ordinance and _also discussed the results which could be expected from the enforcement of the ordinance. Lengthy discussion resulted on the technical points which maybe inserted in the ordinance in question. Councilman Robertson expressed concern on the problems that are expected to be controled by the proposed ordinance. Mr. Leon -Nassivera approached the town board to discuss the method for obtaining permission to use hydrants within the Queensbury Water District. Mr. Nassivera is interested in.-obtaining this permission for South Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company. Superintendent of Queensbury Water District, Thomas K. Flaherty stated that in his opinion the hydrants should be avAilable for the use-of all five fire companies within the town. The minutes of the meeting of May 6th, were approved. Carried unanimously. The Town Board agreed that the application was in proper form and that a public hearing on same should be arranged. An application was presented by the clerk from Mrs. Alice Gonyea of 29 Aviation Road to, lay out and conduct a Transient Mobile Home Court, at the above address. The application was referred to the Building Inspector for a report. Action on the application will take place at a later date. A letter was received and placed on file from the State Board of Equalization and Assessment to announce a sampling of property values within the town to better establish equalization rates. She has given evidence of sincere interest and has special quali- fications which we believe can be most helpful to the Commission.
