The meeting was called to order at 7:38 p. m.
Supervisor Webster greeted the following visitprs:

Mr. Harvey Maille was granted the floor, to discuss the previously
presented application to locate a mobile home_ on 32 Luzerne ,Road.
The statement is in regard to a petition which was presented
to do with the granting of the permit. A statement was forth-
coming from Mr.. Maille that the persons who signed the .petition
did not intend to object to the granting of the permit.
Chief of Police, LeRoy Phillips was,granted the floor. A request
of Sister Ann David a member of the teaching staff of St Michael' s
Catholic Church for crossing protection for school children who
cross the road forreligious classes on certain hours during the
week.
The board voiced unanimous consens4.s that some sort of help
should be granted the church to be of assistance to result in
protecting the safety of the children.
Chief of Police, Phillips suggested also that parking near the
church should be limited to one side of the road at the location
which is obstructing traffic flow.
The clerk presented an application of Paul Austin Rowland to
locate a mobile home outside of a duly licensed mobile home court.
An -investigation will be conducted by the Town Board to study
the location and present a report.
The monthly report of the Supervisor for the month of August, ,1965, _
was received and placed on file. The total receipts shown on the
reports was $34, 265.21 the total disbursements for the month was
$81,026.08.
Thomas K. Flaherty, Superintendent of Queensbury Water Dis Pict,
reported on progress of test borings for water sources wit the
Town of Queensbury. Mr. Flaherty also reported that the laying
of water mains on Sweet Road has started at this time.

Councilman Turner, reporfed on the recent investigation of
another dumping location in a neighboring town. The
investigation resulted in showing how a well kept dump is
maintained.
The Clerk was requested by the Town Board to record a deed of
Isabelle Harris to the Town of Queonsbury, to do with property
which was a pert of the present road, known as Sweet Road,
Lengthy discussion ensued on possible future re-districting
of voting districts 'in the Town of Queensbury.
-- Councilman Beaty, stated that the Board of Assessors are
anxious for a joint meeting with the Town Board,. The meeting
will be arranged"for" September 30, 1965.
RESOLUTION NO. 222, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by
Mr. Turner.
WHEREAS, the Town Board was fortunate to obtain the services
of Arthur W. Monthie as Building Inspector for the Town of
Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, Arthur W. Monthie died suddenly on September -19, 1965,
and the members of the Town Board have been saddened by
this tragic news, be it
RESOLVED, that the members of the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury hereby record their -sorrow on the passing of Arthur W.
Monthie and hereby express to Mrs. Monthie and the members of his
family their sincere -sympa'thy, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to
transmit a copy of this resolution to Mrs. Monthie.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and
Mr. Webster. .

RESOLUTION NO. 223, introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Beaty
WHEREAS, the Town Board entered into a contract with Arthur W.
Monthie on or about April 17, 1965, for his services as Building
Inspector of the Town of Queensbury at an annual salary of $600.00
payable in monthly installments of $50.00, and
WHEREAS, Arthur W. Monthie died suddenly on September 19, 19650
be it
RESOLVED, that it be and hereby is determined that 4rthur W.
Monthie had substantially performed the services required to be
performed by him during the month of September, 1965, and that
the Supervisor be and he hereby is authorized to pay to the Estate
of Arthur W. Monthie, deceased, the sum of $50.00 for the services
rendered by Arthur W. Monthie under sAid contract up to the date
of his death.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and
Mr. Webster.

RESOLUTION NO. 224, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by
Mr. Lampson and Mr. Turner.
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized and
directed to write to Mr. Frank J. Fuller, District 'Engineer
New York State Department of Public Works, requesting re-
construction of Ridge Road, Route 9L, from the City of Glens
Falls line northerly to the Farm to Market Road, Route 149.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and
Mr. Webster.
Noes - None _

The minutes of the meetings of September 9th - 16th - 23rd, were
approved at this time.
Carried unanimously.
Mr. LeRoy Phillips reported ,on the present police protection for
• school children as previously requested at the Chapel of the
Catholic Church on Aviation Road. The subject of restricted
parking of cars at this location was also discussed.
Mr. D. W. Weeks approached the Town Board with a request for a
street light to be installed at the corner of Montray Road and
Sweet Road. Supervisor Webster explained the fact to Mr. Weeks,
that the Town Board has no right to install a light at the
location due totthe fact that the location is a .Town Highway.
Supervisor Webster, announced the opening of the Public Hearing
on the Benefits Districts of the Town of Queensbury. --
