RESOLUTION NO. 159 introduced by Mr. Akins, seconded by Mr. Turner
WHEREAS, Western Avenue is situated on the western boundry between
the City of Glens Falls and the Town of Queensbury, but is located
entirely within the City of Glens Falls, and
WHEREAS, the City of Glens Falls has already determined that Western
Avenue should be generally cond.idered a through street, by requiring
F vehicle traffic traveling west-. on side or cross streets', such as
Grant Avenue, to stop before entering or crossing Vesterh Avenue, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the Town of Queensbury should
also regulate. eastbound traffic on side or cross streets' in the
Town of Queensbury intersecting with Western Avenus, by requiring
traffic to stop before entering or crossing Western Avenue, therefore
be it
RESOLVED., that "Through Traffic Stop" signs are hereby authorized

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of Highways, Town of Queensbury,
Warren Co. , New York (Address. Aviation Road, Glens Falls, N. Y. )
is asking for sealed bids for approximately ninety tons (90 tons) ,
more or less, of grade CC salt, delivered to the Town Storehouse,
Aviation Road, Glens Falls, New York, in 100 lb. bags or in bulk,
as determined by the Superintendent of Highways.
Quality to meet New York State. Division of Standards and Purchase
requirements.
Bids must include price. per ton in 100 lb. bags and price per ton
is bulk and bidder mast specify nearest distribution facility from
which shipment to the town will be made.
Bids wi.Ll be received until 7:00 p.m. at the Town Clerk's Office
95 Dixon Road, Glens Falls, New York; or the Highway Superintendent's
Office, Aviation Road, Glens_ Falls,; New York, and will be publicly
opened by the Town Board at 7:30 p. m. at the library of Queensbury

Dr. Robert Reid visited the meeting at this time. A map was presented
for discussion to request the acceptance of another extension into
town highway system in the development known as "Rolling Ridge".
Following the completion of the grading of the road in question and
'- providing a name for same, the board will proceed to accept the road
as requested by Dr. Reid.

was presented for discussion by the Supervisor. After a complete
study of the opinion of the department is made, a resolution will be
passed to accept the mileage of Town Highways on a basis agreeable
to the Town of Queensbury and the State of New York.
