Regular Meeting February 13, 1964
Present:

The meeting was called to order at 7:38 p. m.
Visitors were as follows:
Bernie Zovitosky - Reporter Post Star
Bernard Codner - Superintendent of Highways
Powell South - Secretary, Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Co.
Mrs. McFarlane - League of Women Voters.
Mrs. Johnson - League of Women Voters
Mr. Powell South was granted thefloor. A request was presented to
the Town Board for a permit to hold' a carnival on June. 8, 1964.
The- board in its entirety assured Mr. South that the permit would
be issued when all final arrangements are complete.
The following letters were' r*ead by the clerk and placed on file.
State of New York Dept. of Health - Confirming the appointment of
Dr. Robert A; Reid as health officer for the Town of Queensbury. j
State of New York Dept. of Public Works - To do with the banming
of any signs, banners or seasonal decorations along.the -rights of
way of the State Highways.
Cast Iron Pipe News - Depicting the progress and .growth of the
construction of the Queensbury Water District.
Commander of Glens Fails Post 233 American Legion - A copy of a '
resolution requesting that the Town of Queensbury should arrange i
to clean and repair the monument at the intersection of South,
Glen and Bay streets which is owned by the Town of Queensbury.
'A motion was made by Mr. Turner and seconded by Mr. Lampson, that
all reports be accepted and placed on file.
Carried unanimously.
A voice of approval was heard from all town officials who recently
attended the meeting of the Association of Towns at New York City. t
Twelve representatives of the town government attended the meetings
and the reports of interest was unanimous.
RESOLUTION N0. 41 Introduced. by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampson.
RESOLVED that the Audit of Claims as listed in Abstract #64-2
numbered #79 through #202 inclusive and totaling g $34, 129.36 is
hereby approved.
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Webster.
Noes - None
