Mr. Garner-Tripp, Superintendent of the City of Glens Falls Water
Department was granted the floor at this time. Mr. Tripp appeared to
to the Town Board with the point of discussion to do with the present
status of the ownership of the Fort Amherst road water mains. A
proposal was advanced by Mr. Tripp that a possible solution to the
problems, of ownership could be solved by -transferring the, ownership
of a 6" water main on the Aviation Roekd, which originally supplied
the Queensbury School, to the Town of Queensbury in return that the
Town of Queensbury would transfer the ownership of the Fort" Amherst
Road mains to the City of Glens Falls. -
It was generally agreed by both parties, the Town of Queensbury Town
Board and the City of Glens Falls Water Superintendent that following
propet legal handling of this transfer the agreement could be con-
sumnated. It was understood that the customers within-the Town of
Queensbury on the North West side of the street -would be served by
the City Water Department and also that the water main- in Fort Amherst
Road would be maintained by the City of Glens Falls.
A suggestion was .advanced by Mr. Jerome Thorne, Superintendent of the
Queensbury Water District, that an additional pressure reducing valve
would enable the Town of Queensbury to control the system in the section
where too high pressure is present at this time. General approval
of the purchase was reached with all board members voiceing their
approval.
A complaint.which has been voiced by Mr. Henry Sleight, to do
with the replacement of the highway in the location of his business
place, on Aviation Road. The engineer Mr. Holden will investigate
the complaint. .
