I Visitors Mr. & Mrs, Kurzmack - Mrs. Kurzmack - League of Women Voters
The minutes of the meeting of June 4th, 1964 was approved.
Carried unanimously.
The Supervisor presented the telegram from the director of the
Bureau of Planning, stated that the Urban Planning assistance

grant to conduct the 701 Program has been approved. The approval
bears a number of P-76. ,
A letter directed to, the Board of Supervisors, of the County of Warren
was presented for study to all members of the Town Board. The nature
of the agessage was. to suggest that the State of New York take over
certain roads within the county in return for the fact that certain
other roads would be relinquished to the County.

A letter was received and placed,-on file from_,the Engineer -of .the
Queensbury Water District, Mr. Joseph A. Kestner, Jr. `A complete
summary_of all aspects concerning the system as a whole was the
content,,o -the letter. :
A discussion ensued to do with the problem_ .of the Alexy property
at Dunhams Bay, A S-4ggestion was ',made that another meeting should
be arranged with both parties taking part. _
Mr. Floyd Pickett the Chairman of the Queensbury Democratic Committee
visited the meeting at this timer_' Imo:, Pickett approached the Town
Board again to- request a change in the salaries of Election Inspectors.
The board in its entirety agreed to a proposal as submitted by
Brown Brothers Electfical Contractors, to install (1) Double Pole
Time Clock at the' Queensbury Pumping Station. The cost as Quoted
will be $120.00.
Mr. John Van Dusen the town engineer and Surveyor visited the meeting
at this time.
A map was presented for a ptece of property on which an option to
buy was taken by the Town of Queensbury earlier in the year 1964.
Following a lengthy discussion on the,handling. of the sizeable
Audits of the Town of Queensbury; a general agreement was reached
that more careful study-should be given each audit to avoid any
possible errors or ommissions. The Clerk who is responsible for
all Audits has mailed the following notice to all Vendors and
especially all Town Departments.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: .
From this date, the Town Clerk of the Town of Queensbury will not
accept',vouchers from Vendors or from any Department within the --
Town Government, later than Tuesday noon Prior to Audit date -
the second Thursday of each month. All invoice6-must be accompanied
by a certified voucher. Under no conditions will there be additions
to the Abstract beyond the date specified above.

WHEREAS, this board has received a request from Montgomery Ward for
permission to sponser a carnival - Continential Shows, rides division
only, in the Montgomery Ward Northway Plaza for the period from
August 24, through August 29, 1964, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Montgomery,Ward to _
sponsor the Continential Shows, rides division only, at the
Montgomery Ward Northway Plaza from August 24, 1964 to August 29.,
1964, and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
grant the requested permit provided that a certificate of insurance _J
is filed with the Town Clerk verifying public liability coverage
with limits of at least $100/300,000 for. the period from August 24,
1964 through August 29, 1964.

RESOLVED, that permission is hereby granted to Acme Theatres Inc. ,
AD ppertte Glen $rive Theatre on Route 9, Glens Falls, New York
on July 4, 1964 under the following conditions: -
1. That a certificate of insurance in the amounts of $100,000
each person, $300,000 each accident and $259000 Property
damage to be filed with the Town Clerk
2, That the Queensbury Central Volunteer Fire Company, gives its
approval to the Town Clerk, concerning -matters of fire safety.
Further RESOLVED that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to issue a permit to hold such fireworks display as aforesaid.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Robertson and Mr.Webster.

Regular Meeting June 25, 1964

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p. m.
Visitors greeted at each of two public hearings were as follows:
A small group interested in the Building Ordinance of the Town
of Queensbury.
A sizeable group of upwards of 100 persons, in the interest of
the proposed ordinance for the regulation of Mobile Homes and
Mobile Homes Courts.

The hearing to do with the building ordinance was declared opened
by the Supervisor.
The advertised notice of the hearing was read by the Clerk.
Proof of publication was presented by the Clerk.
Attorney Albert E. Beswick was granted the floor to discuss the
Building Ordinance in its entirety.
The Supervisor John 0. Webster, advised the visitors that any
opinions for or against the ordinance would be welcomed at this
time.
Mr. Milton Mead was granted the floor. A statement was forth-
coming from Mr. Mead that all residents in the section of Iattskill
Bay where he resides are in full agreement with the adoption of the
proposed ordinance.
