Mrs. Jolin Whalen was heard at this time. Mfrs. Whalen queetiAned the
Town Board as to the content of the permit which would be issued for
Mr. Stranahan.
Mr. William Stranahan stated that it is his intention to build a
home on the site of the proposed Mobile Home location.
Mrs. Richard Hoague was granted the floor. Mrs. Hoague repeated
statements which she has brought up several times- in the past.
The nature of her statements were to encourage acceptance of the
application of Mr. Stranahan.
Councilman Robertson clarified the future plans of both Mr. Stranahan
and the present mobile home owner at the location in question.
Both Mr. Stranahan and Mr. Winchell intend to build homes and
ultimatly remove the mobile homes.

The State Traffic Commission takes the fallowing action with respect to
traffic control on Route US9, SH 417, at its intersection With
Aviation and Quaker Roads in the Town of Queensbury, Warren County.
Revises the specifications of Signal 18 to provide for
left green arrows facing northwest and southeast on
Route US9.
The order for this signal filed with 'the Secretary of State is idenified
as Section 2052.10, subdivision (g) , of the regulations of the State
Traffic Commission.
An amendment for the above change is dated Nov. 20, 1964.
To complete this action, the New York State Department of "Public Works
is to operate and maintain this signal in conformance with the Manual of
Uniform Traffic Control Devices of the New York State Traffic Commission
and the attached specifications.
One copy of the enclosed completion notice, properly executed showing
date of completion, should be returned to this office.

(contract) was received and placed on file by the town clerk.
Councilman Robertson reported on a request which he has received for
a study of speed control on Jenkinsville Road. Following investigation
it is expected that a request for the study will -be submitted to the
State Traffic Commission of the State of New York.

WHEREAS, William Stranahan of 31 LaBarge Street, Hudson Falls, has
made application in accordance with- paragraph 2 (c) Section 4, of an
ordinance of the Town of Queensbury entitled ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION
OF MOBILE HOMES and MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY,
WARREN-COUNTY, NEW YORK; -to locate a mobile home outside of a duly
licensed mobile home court at property situated at Farm to ,Market Road
between Bay and Ridge Roads, and
WHEREAS, this town board has conducted a public hearing in connection
with said application and has heard all persons desiring to be heard in
favor of or against said application, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said
application and at said public hearing are sufficient to authorize the
issuance of the permit requested by said application, for the following
reason: The applicant stated that he intends to construct a dwelling
on the site within the next three to five years. The other mobile home
on the property has an agreement of a similar nature, therefore fe it

Mr. Codner questioned the bidders on certain points concerning the
bids as submitted by them. The Superintendent of Highways, requested
time to study the bids before making a recommendation.
Mr. Edward Waters was welcomed- by- the Town Board to discuss the
appointment as Dog Enumerator for the year 1965.
Mr. Thomas Jenkins was granted the floor. A lengthy discussion ensued
to do with the possible installation of a radio system to result in
communication between vehicles of the town and the focal point - the
Town of Queensbury garage. A proposal was submitted by Mr. Jenkins
for further study.

Councilman Robertson was delegated to conduct a study of the aspects
of the proposal.
Mr. David Clenents was welcomed by the Town Board. A map was pre-
sented for discussion to do with roads that to date have not been
accepted by the Planning Board. The Town Board suggested study-
of the matter with plans to accept Zhe roads at an early date.
Mr. LeRoy Phillips, Chief of Police discussed appointments of
policemen with the Town Board. The recently appointed member
Mr-. Lowell Hill is off duty due to illness at this time,.
Mr,. Bernard Codner, Superintendent of Highways recommended that the
bid of Parsons of Glens Falls, Inc. , be accepted Npr the truck .

RESOLUTION NO. 211, introduced by Mr. Lampson, seconded by Mr. Beaty.
WHEREAS, the Town Superintendent of Highways did, on the 12th day of
November, 1964, duly- recommend the purchase of certain machinery
pursuant to the provisions of Section 142 -of the Highway Law,
Now, Therefore, Be It RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 142 of the
Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized
to purchase, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5-A of the
General Municipal Law, with the approval of the County Superintendent
of Highways, the following:
One New 1965 - F-800 Ford- Truck complete with Frink Snowplow as
per specification for -a maximum price of twelve thousand, two hundred
sixteen and thirty-six onehundredth dollars (12,216.36), delivered
at Queensbury, New York, and to be delivered-on `or about January 15,
1965.
The Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized, subject to
the approval of the County Superintendent of Highways, to surrender to
the vendor One 1955 Ford #F-800 Cab & Chassis as part payment for
the above machinery to be purchased.
The terms of payment will be as follows:
Trade-in allowance $2,300,00 ,
Check Drawn on machinery fund - 9.916.36
Total $ 12,216.36
A contract of purchase for the item purchased shall be duly executed
between the Town Superintendent of Highways and such vendor, and when
duly approved by the County Superintendent of Highways, it shall be-
come effective. When such contract has been duly executed and approved,
the Supervisor is authorized to complete such purchase upon delivery
of the item purchased in accordance with the terms of such resolution
and such contract, and to pay the above amount specified to be paid
by check or checks
(1) by a check drawn on the Machinery Fund .(Item 3) for $9,916.36;
(2) by a check in the amount of $------------y drawn onthe account
established from the proceeds of obligations to be issued

.RESOLUTION -TO AUTHORIZE HIGHWAY LIGHTING
RESOLUTION NO. 212, introduced by Mr. Beaty, seconded by Mr. Robertson.
WHEREAS, the continued development of the commercial area of the
Town of Que.ensbury at Route 9 and Quaker Road -has resulted in a
substantial increase in vehicle traffic, and it is the opinion of
this board that additional highway lighting should be provided for
this area in the interest of highway safety, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that 400 watt white mercury lighting is hereby authorized
as fellows:
20 lights on Route 9 (Upper Glen St.) , and
5 lights on Quaker Read, total
25 lights at a cost of $66.50 each, annually, or a total of
$1,662.50 annually, said lights to be installed generally as
outlined- on pole maps submitted by the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. , and
that the Supervisor in cooperation with the Lighting Committee of this
board shall specify to the Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. , the exact
location of each of the 25 lights hereby authorized, and be it further
RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect immediately.

RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT DEED FOR TOWN HIGHWAY
RESOLUTION NO2 213, introduced by Mr. Robertson, seconded by Mr. Lampson.
WHEREAS, Alger C. Mason, President, Takundewide, Inc. , Cleverdale, New York,
has executed and offered a deed to convey to the Town of Queensbury land
for a 25 foot roadway known as Hillman Road, said- road having already been
included in the official inventory of Town Highways and designated as
Town Road X48, and
WHEREAS, it seems advisable to accept this deed, although the road has
— been, and presently is, maintained by the town under the section of the
Town Highway Law known as "Highway by Use", and
WHEREAS, Bernard J. Codner, Superintendent of Highways, has advised this
board that he recommends the acceptance of the deed to this roadway,
now therefore be it

WHEREAS, there was presented , to-the Town Board of the Town of Queens-

bury, Warren County, New York, a petition- praying for the establishment
of a residential area within the Lake George Park pursuant to the
provisions of Article ,.,13-C. of the-General Municipal. Law, ,which, proposed
residential area as described in said petition is at;-Assembly Pgint .in
the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, after the filing of said petition, this Town Board adopted
Resolution No. 192 on the 22nd day of October, 1964, which recited the:
filing of said petition, provided for a public hearing on said petition
at the Queensbury School on Aviation Road in said town on the 19th day
of November, 1964, at 8 O'clock, P.M. , and directed .the Town Clerk to
give notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law, and
WHEREAS, proof has been-presented to the Town Board that a certified
copy .of said resolution was published in the Post Star and Glens Falls
Times at least ten days prior to said hearing, that a certified copy
of said resolution, was posted on the Town Clerk's bulletin board at
least ten days prior to said hearing, and that a, copy. of said resolution
was mailed by registered mail, return receipt requested, to each
resident owner of real property within the proposed area who had not
signed said petition and to each non-resident owner of real property
within the proposed area, all at least ten days and not more than
twenty days prior to the date fixed for such public hearing, and .
WHEREAS, the Town Board conducted a public hearing at the time and
place specified therefor in. said resolution at which several persons
who had signed said petition were present and several resident owners
who had not signed the petition were present and at which there were
also present several persons who are ,not the owners of real property in
said proposed area, and all persons desiring to be heard having been
heard, and all property .owners who were present having expressed them-
selves as being in favor of the establishment of the proposed residential
area, and -only ,one person having expressed opposition to the establish-
ment of the proposed zone and it having been determined that such person
is not the owner of real property in the proposed residential area and
after due deliberation, be it
RESOLVED that it be and hereby is determined:

WHEREAS, annually in November of each year the town board of each town
shall appoint a resident or residents or designate the police department
to prepare a list of persons in such town owning or harboring dogs,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Edward J. Waters be and he hereby is appointed
Dog Enumerator, under the provisions of Section 108 of the Agriculture
and Markets Law, for the year 1965.

application and plans, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the application of Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Barber of Montray Road
Glens Falls, New 'York for a permit to operate an existing Mobile Home
Court containing 8 lots for mobile homes, on property situated at
Montray Road, be and the same is hereby approved and that the Town Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to notify the applicant of the
decision of this' Board. Be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to issue the permit to
operate -a Mobile Home Court upon receipt of the fee, in accordance with

the same is hereby approved and that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to notify the applicant of the decision of this Board,
