The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p. m.
Visitors at the meeting were:
Mr. Otto Kuhl - Engineer from the office of Joseph A. Kestner, Jr. ,
Mr. Bernard Codner - Superintendent of Highways
The contracts known as Numbers 4 and 4A were presented by
Mr. Kuhl for discussion. A study of the technicalities to do
with the well house construction and also the electrical lay-
out was entered upon with all member's of the Town Board taking
part. -
A discussion ensued as to how and by whom the access roads to
the proposed tank sights will be constructed. Decission
was reached on the fact that the contractors will provide the .
roads to the proper locations. With the approval of the HigYiway
Superintendent, agreement was reached that the road leading to the
sight of the well house will be constructed by the highway
department of the Town of Queensbury.
RESOLUTION NO. 89 introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Lampso n
WHEREAS, this board has reviewed the specifications of Contract #4
Well house, Well pumps , Tank foundati on and appertances and
Contract #4A Electrical work, concerning Project No. APW-NY-52G,
and has found the specifications in all ways satisfactory,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that these specifications are hereby approved, andsthe
Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to place an adver-
tisement in the Post Star and the Glens Falls Times, no later '
than May 27, 1963 to advertise for bids on Contract #4-4A,
said bids to be received and opened on June 13, 1963 at 7 :30 p.m.
in the library_ of Queensbury Public School.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Beaty, Mr. Turner, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Akins and Mr. Webster

Separate sealed bids for Queensbury Water District - Contract No. 4:
Well House, Well Pumps, Tank Foundations and Appurtenances , and
Contract No. 4A: Electrical Work, will be received by the Town
Board of the Town of Queensbury at the Queensbury High School on
Aviation-Road, Glens Falls, New York, until 7:30 o'clock p.m. DST
June 13, 1963 and then at said high school publicly opened and
read aloud.
The information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plane
and Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond and Performance Bond may
be examined at the following places :

Conies can be obtained at either of these addresses upon pay-
ment of $50 for each set. Any unsuccessful bidder, upon re-
turning such set promptly and ,in good condition, will be re-
funded his payment, and any non-bidder, upon returning such a
set, will be refunded $25.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount,
form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information
for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is called particularly to the requirements
as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage --��
rates to be paid under the contract.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual
date of the opening thereof.

Mr. Codner, the Superintendent of Highways stated to the board
that the special improvements for-the year 1963, are nearing
completion.
RESOLUTION NO. 90 introduced by Mr. Turner, seconded by Mr. Akins
RESOLVED, that the Town Highway Superintendent is . hereby authorized
to attend the School for Highway Superintendents being conducted
by the Town and County Officers Training School at Cornell
University at Ithaca, N. Y. June 24, 25, and 26, 1963 , and that
the actual necessary expenses incurred be a proper Town charge.

Special Meeting May 27, 1963

The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 p. m.
A general discussion on the future progress of the Planning Board
in the Town of Queensbury took place at this time. The cost of
adapting the plan. was discussed at length with all members of the
Town Board taking part. The opinions`' of the residents of the j
Town of Queensbury which habe been voiced were disclosed by all
members of the Town Board. The possible effect on the over-all u
tax base in the town, was discussed at length at this time. A
general voicing of opinions from each member of the Town Board
was forthcoming. Plans were laid to invite a representative of
a neighboring town; which has already adopted a planning and
zoning program to a meeting with the Town Board of Queensbury
at an early date. Definite action on the matter of the Planning
Board was deferred to a later date.
