Whereas, the North Glens Falls Water District, Extensions
1, 29 3, 4, 6, 79 8, and 9 to the North Glens Falls Water Dis-

their source of water dupply the water system of the City of
Glens Falls under contract between the Town Board of the Town
of Queensbury, acting for and in behalf of said districts, and
the City of Glens Falls, but the City of ,Glens Falls is per-
mitted by law only to sell and furnish to said districts sur-
plus water over and above the needs of the City of Glens Falls and

business establishments in said districts make it unlikely that
the City of Glens Falls will in the future be able to furnish
the amount of water required by said districts, and

Whereas, the source of water supply in the Queensbury
Water District will be ample to provide for all present and
anticipated future requirements in the Queensbury Water District,
the North Glens Falls Water District and its several extensions ,
and the Ridge Road Water District and it will be unneeessary for
said districts to rely upon the surplus water which the City of
G1ens .Falls may be able to furnish, and all said districts are
contiguous which will make distribution of an ample supply of
water under adequate pressure throughout all1of the district
by existing mains and new mains being laid, and
Whereas, it is provided by Section 206 of the 'down Law that
consolidation of special districts may be made by resolution adopted
by the Town Board after a public hearing, and
4'7'7
Whereas, a public hearing on the proposed consolidation of -
said districts and extensions has been held on this 1st day of
August, 1963, and no opposition having been expressed to the
proposed consolidation, and it being deemed in the public interest
that said districts and extensions be consolidated into one water
district to be known as the Queensbury Water District and that
the existing indebtedness of such districts and extensions be
assumed by the consolidated district and that -any existing funds
in any of said districts on the effective date of consolidation
be paid over to the consolidated district, be it
RESOLVED that, subject to permissive referendum, on the
