The meeting was called to order at. 7:45. p.n.

Dispussi.on on estimates for the Mantray Read'Water District Extension
took placa.at this time. The assessment valued in this section was
studied in order to estimate.tbe tax inerease to the 'indiiiduals within
the district..
'• Webster, reported .on points of discussion with lam, Eeavick, to do
with Water District forming in general.
Mr. Sidney VanDusen, Secretary of the Cemetery Commission entered the
meeting at 8:00 p.m.
Mr, VanDusen, stated that residents of Cottage 'Hill are apparently
ready and anxious to have a Vhter District formed for their benefit.
The matter of the sale of PineView Cemetery property along Rout*;9
was heard at this time.
— District Attorney Hobert Nolan was tendered the floor at this time,
Mr. Nolan, announced hia int"tion .to submit, an offer for the Purchase
of the property involved. Purchase would be made in the form of an
option fora period of 6 months.
I�lrr, Nolan, stated that more planning must be done in order to conseamate
the laying out of the proposed Commercial Development- on the land
which would be purchased from PineView Cemetery.
The original offer of $60,000.00 for the purchase of the property
was discussed at th c time,
Mr. Cowles, questioned the-developers as to the possibilities of any
restrictions to do with type of businesses that would be involved
in this business venture. It is understood that certain restrictions
Would be acceptable to all parties involved.
Councilmen 'burner and Lampoon offered a:suggestion that in their
opinion .the property should have a sale value of at least $1009000.00.
A.comparison with the sale-of -other- commercial--properties in the same
section was the basis used to arrive at the above mentioned figure.
Following a suggestion by Mr. Va n, considerable discussion
ensued to do with the pusrchase,of the property by option is two
different parcels. An offer was made by Mr. Nolan of $30,900.00
for the first parcel and $50,000.00 for the remainder of the land.
Considerable discussion to do with the price per foot of frontage
took place at this time. As a result the interested purchaser made
a revised offer on the same basis but with two options involved;
one for 6 months and one for 18 months. _ The amount of their new
offer was $45,000.00 for each half of the property.

W., Webster, stated that following the receiving of this final
offer; the Board would investigate all points of interest in-
volved in the purposed purchase and the purchasers were assured
of a final decision at an early date.
Mr. LeRoy Phill.ips,.,Chief of Police visited the meeting at this
time.
Mr. VanDusen, suggested that the Board would be wise to endeavor
to force the purchaser to make an offer for the purchase of all
of the property at this time. Mr. Nolan, did not make an offer
on the total parcel of land.
Mr. VanDusen aired the. feelings of the Vemetery Commission to do
with the purchase of additional land for future use, •f= tue il ' J
cemetery, It was understood that members of the Cemetery Cemm .
ission will investigate the purchase of a parcel of laud duriAg
one week hence.
Mr, Webster, , explained the hopes. of the Town Board of QUeen.sbury,
that the Cemetery .Commission.;will .s.ee fit. to. take over Two
abandone:& *emeteries, in the sear future.
Mr. Akins, stated that the West Glens Falls Fire Company is very
anxious .to proceed with plans for the 200th Anniversary Celebration.
It is` the feeling of the Board - that all of the Towns Fire Companies
should participate in any venture.
It was agreed by the Board that a meeting with the.chiefs and
other representatives of the different fire companies would be
arranged for Sunday evening May 20th at 8;00 p,.m.
On motion the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.

Mr. South announced to the Board that the up coming Carnival to be
held by the ;Queensbury Central Volunteer .Fire Co., will. :be situated
on the .Glendale lot off Route 9 instead of the location previously
announced. .
