The Supervisor called the meeting to 6rder at 7:35 P.M.
Roland Mandigo called on•the Board relating to the change of his junkyard
from 49 Luzerne Rd. to about one-quarter of-a mile west of the Northway where
it passes over the Luzerne Rd. on what was formerly the Whittemore property.
Lynwood Chase was present and discussed-with the Board the extension of the
North Glens Falls Water District to property which he is interested in.
George Crannell, nominee of the Republican Party for the oaf ice of Town Clerk
was present and welcomed.

Bernard Codner was present and filed inventory of machinery
owned by the Town.
In the matter of the Rockhurst Rd. Supervisor Webster reported
that progress was being made.
Also on the East Sanford St. Rd. matter the Supervisor reported
that Mr. Crockwell had been given a map of the proposed drainage.
In the matter of the Clinton Smith development off of Richardson
St. and the proposed road -extending into the development,
-- Superintendent of Highways recommended that the Town accept the
right of way as laid out on the map of the development and
described in the proposed deed. -The deed was returned to the
Supervisor.
RESOLUTION NO. 99 introduced by Mr. Miller and seconded by
Mr. Bentley.
RESOLVE that the Town of Queensbury hereby approves a
proposal for a new Town Highway as set forth and described in a
proposed deed -from J. Clinton Smith to -the Town of Queensbury.
The foregoing approval is subject to the approval of the
County Attorney as to form and the proper execution of the pro-
posed deed by -the Grantor named therein.
FURTHER RESOLVE that the street be designated and named
Riverside Drive.
Duly adopted by the -following vote:
Ayes Mr. Miller, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lam son and Mr.

Bernard Codner, Town Superintendent of Highways, discussed with
the,.Board the matter of duplication of street names on some of
the highways in the Town of Queensbury.
A discussion on traffic conditions existing on the Quaker Rd. was
had. The Supervisor read a letter from Mr. Beswick and retained.

The„Supervisor read a letter from Dr. Reid relating to drainage.
The Supervisor retained the letter.
Justice Bentley recommends that pest control methods be used to
exterminate rats and other pests at the Town Dump.
Towel South was present and presented the following letter which was
read to the Board.

RESOLUTION NO. 100 introduced by I4r. Bentley and seconded by Mr.
Miller.
RESOLVE that Winfield Nichols be and is hereby confirmed as an
active volunteer fireman in the Queensbury _Central volunteer Fire Company
Inc.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Miller, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Webster.
Noes - None:
Mr. South also presented an application to amend the Bingo License
issued to the Queensbury Central Volunteer fire Company Inc.
RESOLUTION NO. 101 introduced by Mr. Miller and seconded by Mr.
Lampson.
WHEREAS, an application has been made by the Queensbury Central
Volunteer ":ire Company Inc. to amend its license to conduct bingo games
and
WTHERZAS, an investigation has been made by this Board and after such
investigation the Board makes the following findings and determinations.
1. That the applicant is a qualifier?- organization as defined by law;
2,. That all of the members designated to conduct games are bona fide
active members of the applicant organization;.
3. That all the members designated to conduct games and the assis-
tants are of good moral character;
4. That all the members designated to conduct games and the assis-
tants have never neen convicted of a crime;
5. That the games are to be held according to the Bingo License Law,
and rules and regulations of the State Lottery Control Commission
and local ordinances;:
6. That the entire net proceeds are to be used solely for the pur-
poses permitted by the Bingo License Law;
7. That there is satisfactory proof that no commission, salary,
compensation., reward or recompense will be paid or given to any
person for the conducting of games or assistance thereon except
to the extent allowed. by law;,
8. There is satisfactory proof that the type and value of prizes
will conform to law; `
9. That no rent For the premises is being paid, and as a result of
the f_indings' and determinations stated above, license is granted.

FURTHER RESOLVE that the Town Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to sign the necessary findings and determinations and issue a
license to conduct bingo games in accordance with the applicgtion re-
ceived.

A discussion was had relating to the Lake George park Commission and in
connection therewith Alger Mason was present and the privilege of the
floor was allowed to Mr. Mason who explained the purpose.of the Lake
Geoge Park Commission.
Councilman Miller discussed the matter of transfers of names in
connection with the redistricting of the election districts in the Town

of Queensbury.
RESOLUTION NO. 102 introduced by Mr. Miller aAd seconded by Mr. Bentley..
WHEREAS, his Board did adopt a Resolution dated June 22, 1961
enlarging the present Election Districts from 5 to 9 in number, and,
THEREAS, It is necessary that the names in the present Registers
of ,Voters be transferred to new Registers for use in the new
Districts before the 7th day of October, 1961 'rAh ich is the regular
cafe for the registration of new voters,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Supervisor be, and he
is *hereby authorized and directed to employ the Inspectors of
Elections in the present 5 Districts to make such transfers of
names, ,and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that they shall be paid at the
same rate as that applicable at regular elections, namely $15 each,
per day.

Ayes - Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Webster, Mr. Miller.

A discussion was had relating to the Yaffee electrical store
which is to be constructed along the Quaker Rd. and the supply
of water thereto. The Supervisor was to obtain cost for such
water supply.

I hereby tender my resignation, attached hereto, as Town Clerk j
of the Town of Queensbury to become effective October 1st, 1961, j
the date of my retirement.
It hat been a great pleasure to have been able to serve the
people of the Town of Queensbury all these years and I appreciate
the trust and confidence which was placed in me by the people of
the Town of Queensbury.
I also appreciate the many courtesies which the people of
the Town of Queensbury have extended to me and appreciate the
cooperation which has been extended to me by the various officers
of the Town of Queensbury.
It is with regret that I take this step: This resignation is
being, made upon the advice of my physician who felt that the burden
of the office would be to great for me.

RESOLVE that the regular meeting of the Town Board shall be
held at the school house of Union Free School #2 of the Town
of Queensbury, on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month during
the months of October, November and December, 1961 not-
withstanding any resolution heretofore adopted.

Ayes - Mr. Miller, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson and Mr. Webster.
