In the matter of the retention of a stenographer for the hearing upon the application of the City of Glens Falls to be held on October 20, 1960. was referred to Mr. Miller, Mr. John Van Dusen, Town Surveyor, was present and discussed wih the Board the water supply. - r - 112 The Board discussed title to property at the foot of Dunham's Bay. Resolution No. 128 introduced by Justice Akins, seconded by Justice Bentley: WHEREAS the State of New York has appropriated lands in the Town of Queensbury for the construction of the Northway, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that notice of claim be filed against the State of New York for the taking of such property for such pur- poses , and that the Supervisor be and. is hereby authorized aid directed to execute all documents on behalf of the Town of Queensbury necessary for the- filing of such notice. Turner - Town Clerk Public Hearing October 20, 1960 At a Publie Hearing held at the Schoolhouse of Union Free School District #2 of the Town of Queensbury on the Aviation Road, Town of Queensbury, N.Y., the following members were present: - John 0. Webster T Supervisor Meredith Bentley - Justice of the Peace Hard Akins - Justice , of the Peace Stanley B. Miller - Councilman The Supervisor called the Hearing to order at 7:45 p.m. Thereupon the Supervisor made an opening statement, stating the purpose of the Hearing. Proof of publishing notice of hearing in the Glens Falls Post Star was received and filed. , Proof of publishing notice in the Glens Falls Times was received and filed. Albert E. Beswick, County Attorney; made a statement respecting the purpose of the hearing, Frank Hurley, City Attorney, appeared for and representing the City of Glens Falls. The Hon, J. Ward Russell, mayor of the City of Glens Falls, was also present andmade a general statement respecting the application. Frank Hurley, City Attorney, spoke in reference to the application and also read the application. The following people expressed an -opinion respecting the matter, the granting of the application, ad respecting the -area concerned.
