Dear Mr. Webster:
It has been brought to my attention by several of our members
143
that a serious traffic hazard exists in our area. The spot in question
is at the intersection of Coolidge Ave. and Ashley Place. The visi-
bility is poor there because of trees and large ledge on one side of the
road. This ` is much more dangerous in summer when the leaves- are on
the trees and bushes.
There are no traffic signs at the corner and there is always
confusion as to who has the right of way. Many Queensbury School buses
travel this route and several of our, own school children walk,or ride
bikes through there on the highway as there is no sidewalk in this par-
ticular area.
We believe that a stop sign should be placed on Ashley Place
requiring a full stop before entering Coolidge Avenue.
Please investigate this situation and help us get a stop sign
erected therebbefore we have a serious accident.
Sincerely yours,
Broadacres Civic Association
M. D. Hanks; Pres.
