T&iEREAS,, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has anthori zed
the issuance and sale of a capital note in the amount of $4,500.00 to
provide funds for the ,payment of the purchase price -of lands being pur-
1 chased from Carlton Freiberger and.. Martha Freiberger, his wife, to provide .
a source of water supply for existing water districts of the Town of
Queensbury,
RESOLVED that the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized and di-
rected to invest $4,500.00 of the funds in the Capital Reserve Fund of
_ the Town of Queensbury by purchasing said capital note. .
The foregoing resolution was duly put to vote which resulted as

interest thereon from the date hereof at-the rate of two and- one-half
per annum payable at maturity. Bath principal of and interest

at the office of the Supervisor of the Town of Queensbury, Warren County,

Ed Blinn, President of the Glen Lake Association, was present and dis-
cussed with the board the limiting of the speed of motor boats on Glen
Lake.
Resolution No. 72. Mr. Bentley introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption, seconded by Mr. Lampson.
Whereas, subdivision 17 of Section 130 of the Town Law has been
amended to provide that the Town Board of any town of Warren County may j
adopt an ordinance regulating the size and horse power .of inboard and out-
board motors and the operation of such boats, and j
Whereas it has been made to appear to the Town Board that the oper-
ation of motor boats at high speeds on the waters of lakes in the Town of
Queensbury, and particularly on Glen Lake , are a menace and danger. to the.
lives and safety of persons using the-lakes and that in order to protect
the lives and safety of such persons the speed of boats• on such lakes
should be strictly limited ,.
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hold a public
hearing at- the Town Re `s Office on the 15th day..of July, 1955, at 7:30
of clock P.M,, (D.S.T.) to- consider the adoption of an ordinance which
shall prohibit the operation of any motor boat- on any waters wholly within
the Town of Queensbury at a speed greater tlWan five miles per hour within
100 feet of any shore and provide penalties for the violation thereof,
at which time and place all persons interested in the subject matter o
such proposed ordinance will be heard, and further
RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to give
publ:Lcnotice -of such hearing by publishing the same once in the Glens
Falls Times, published at Glens Falls, N.Y.,, at least ten days prior to
the date of such hearing,
