R.ECOLVED, that there be and hereby is appropriated for suchener-
gency pump-installation the sum of $2,500.00 which is authorized to be
expended for such purpose , and it is further
RESOLVED, that, by reason of the emergency which exists , the pro-
visions 4f- the General Manicipal Law requiring competitive bidding shall
not apply and that the Supervisor-be and hereby is authorized and directed
to arrange for the purchase of the pump and equipment and fo3z t1le instal-
lation immediately without competitive bidding.

After discussion it was decided that a Gould pump would be purchased
from the Saeger-Spuck Co: Pump is to be 15 h,p. for the sum of $509.00
plus $56,00 for starter switch. $35.20 for 4" gate; $136.00 for .8" check
valve, $37.70 for 8 x 8 x 4 tees ,B-S. 1
A petition„signed by some 68 residents of the North Glens Falls area,
stated that Montray Road had not been black-topped as promised and de-
manded that this be done. The board in discussing the matter, stated
that money had been appropriated for this purpose and that black-topping
would be done by Ernest., Lackey, Superintendent of Highways , wheh his
schedule permitted.

No one appearing in opposition thereto, following discussion by the
board,, Resolution No. 80 was introduced by Justice Akins, who moved its
adoption, seconded by Justice Bentley:

f ROUTES AND AUTr,'ORIZING STOP SIGNS
IN THE T O9N OF QUEENSBURY, COUNTY
'r OF 'WARREN 3, NEW YORK
Be It Resolved and Ordained by the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury, Warren County, New York, as follows :
Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions _of Chapter 166 of the
Laws of 1955, the following town .,highways in the T0VM of Queensbury
are hereby determined to be and Aesignated as rNkin arteries of travel :
Aviation Road from State Highway Route 9 to the Mountain Road;

Dixon Road from the Glens Falls city line to Aviation Road;
Sherman Avenue from the Glens Falls city line .to Mountain Road;
T_uzerne Road from the Glens Falls .city line to Mountain Road;
Mountain,-Road from the..Corinth Road to the point of county main-
tenance;
Glen Lake Road from State Highway Route 9 to Bay Road;
Pershing Road from the Glens Falls.=city line to Hughes Court;
Broad Acres Road from the Glens Falls city line to Hughes Court;;
Central Avenue from Corinth Road -to Minnesota Avenue ;
Big Bay Road from Corinth Road to Big Boom Road;
Big Boom,.Road from, Big Bay_Road to. the- Hudson River.
Section 2. The erection of stop signs on all 'town highways which
-- _ cross Qr intersect, any of the arterial routes designated in this ordi-
nance is hereby authorized.
Section 3. Any person operating a vehicle on any town highway
which crosses or intersects a main artery of travel as herein designated
shall, before entering or crossing such main artery of travel , bring
such vehicle to a complete stop unless otherwise directed by a peace
officer or signal and shall enter upon or cross such main artery of
travel with. caution.
Section 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
be"punishable by a fine not exceeding Fifty Dollars or by imprisonment
not exceeding 30 days or both such fine and imprisonment for each such
offense.

The board convened at 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Clark and Mr.. Peters were present and spoke in reference to meeting
of the Broadacres Association;: they also discussed the liability of the
Town and property owners relating to side walks.
Bart Riordan, Edward Blinn and John Regan of the Glen Lake Association
were present and called on the Board in regard to the railroad crossing.
The matter was referred to the Highway Committee in order to determine
� ! what action has been taken;; if none , to see that action is taken.
I-- There was also discussion on widening and straightening the Tee Hill
Road. The straightening of the Glen Lake Road was also discussed.
A discussion was held on the proper method or way to get traffic count.
It was suggested that it might be possible to get a mechanical counter
from the County.
At this Point Mr.. Bentley entered the meeting.
