Akins. 304 RESOLVED that the petition of John DeGraff, d./b/a Granville Bus Linee_to_operate a bus line in they Tcnan_.of QueeAsbury along route 32 B from the village line of Hudson Falls, N.Y., and contin- uing on Route 32 to City line- of Glens Falls , N.Y,«,,, be an j,is hereby granted. Duly adopted by the following vote : Ayes - Mx. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr.. Akins and Mr. Harris Noes - none Garnar Tripp, representing the Glens Falls Shrine Club, asked that a permit be issued' to the Glens Falls -Shrine Club to hold a circus on July 1„ 1957- with an afternoon and evening performance. He stated that the circus was the Christiani Bros. Circus and that the place where it was tc be held was on the Owen Kane 'lot, Bay Road, in the Town of Queensbury. Resolution No. 60 introduced by Mr. Bentley, seconded by Mr. Lamp- son RESOLVED that the Glens Falls Shrine Club be and is hereby granted a license to hold a circus sponsored by them as follows :. Thomas- Clarke,, Harry Reitz, Norman Vroman,, Ralph Pi]Ke, Fred Piel.ds and Charles Aubrey were present and discussed with the Town Board the condition of the road on the south oast side of Glen Lak® lead- ing from the Glens Falls County Club into the Captain Davis area, and. suS este. that appropriate action be taken to straighten curves and widen the road. It was also requested that some measures. be taken to treat the road with heavy oil to allay aust.. The matter was further discussed with the Town Board. The matter was referred to the Highway Committee. for a recominend.a- tion as to what should be done.., Samuel Swirsky", Kenneth Cook, Carl Lyford,. Theodore Lemery, George Taylor, Herbert Ganant, Eugene Bartholomew and Robert Kirkpatrick were present. George Taylor acted: as sponsor and discussed the con- dition of Thomas Street which lies within the city limits of the City of Glens Falls, N.Y. Mr. Taylor requested that Thomas street: be paved . and :signs be erected. A general discussion was had. The matter was referred to the Highway Committee to interview the proper city officials in connection therewith. Olin Loughrey from Barber Avenue was present and stated that resi - dents-of Barber Avenue -and the extension of Grant Avenue would be interested in having a sanitary sewer and water district.
