In the matter of the application for bus consent, Ralph. B, Turner
appred :as attorney for Jesse Burger who also appeared in person,
Gerald McPhillips of McPhillips-, Fitzgerald & McCarthy appeared for
the Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc. Also present were 'the following

Mr. Turner presentgd, on behalf of Mr. Burger an amended application
for the extension of hi`s bus" line in the Town of Queensbury. The j
application was received and placed on file.

.c.ants Band with, their`attorneys the .proposed extension of. the! bus line..
Yr,, McPhillips stated that the Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc. would go
as far as the T.C. Hill property on the Aviation Road and stated that
they would make a test run to see whether or not they could operate
within their schedule. He invited members of , the board to ,ride with him
on the run. He further. stated that• if his -Company felt that" it was
possible to extend the bus line to the Mountain View Lane Road, that
he would file an application amending his present application covering
such extension.

WHEREAS Jesse Burger has heretofore made written application to
the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury by'petition dated and verified
January 22, 1953 pursuant to Section 66 and• 67, of the Transportation
Corporation's Law of the State of New York for consent to an extension
of the. operation .by, him of a motor vehicle bus ,within the Town.
It is resolved that a public hearing be held by this Board upon
said application at the Schoolhouse of the Union Free School District
#2- of the Town of Queensbury, Aviation Road on the 9th day of Febru-
ary, 1953 at 7:30 olelbek in the evening, at which time persons
attending will be heard for or against the granting of a consent, fran-
chise and right to said Jesse Burger to extend the operation of his
omnibus line or route for the purpose of carrying passengers for hire
upon and along various streets , avenue's and public places of the Totem. ,
of Queensbury, as more particularly described in said application, and
that on or before January 28th, 1953, notice of this application and
hearing be published once in the official newspaper of the Town.

A letter from the Glenbrook Letter Service dated December 29, 1952
addressed to Supervisor Harris in reference to a small brook crossing
Route 9 at Woodbury's. overf lowing and flooding the cellar of Irene
Irwin, was read by the Supervisor. An unverified bill for damages was
enclosed with the latter, The Supervisor retained the letter and bill
to refer to the County Attorney.

ized- and directed totcause to be erected a carbon light at the junction
of Richardson Street with the Luzern Road and to order at Town expense

Present: Garner Tripp. Ernest Lackey, Town Superintendent of Highways
also present. Garner Tripp generally discussed with the board the
condition of` the hydrants in the Broadacres section and the ownership
thereof and who was resonsible for their care..
A letter from Francis McGinley, attorney, in reference to a deed by the
Ft. Aanherst Realty Co. , conveying certain lands therein for highway
purposes to the Town of Queensbury-was read to the board,

,RESOLVED that the land as described in a deed dated Novcmber 25,
1952 From the Ft, Amherst Realty Co,, to the Town of Queensbury, be and

names of streets so conveyed„
