The board convened at 7:30 P.M,.
The clerk read a communication from McPhillips, Fitzgerald & McCarthy.
The clerk also read a petition of the Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc,.
amending the original petition filed for the extension of their bus
line in the Town. of Queensbury. The following resolution was adopted:
Resolution No. 27
The petition of tl1a Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc.-, verifled the
27th day of January, 1953, _ was presented by Gerald P.McPhil_�ips, re -
questing permission for said Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc. to operate
over additional portions of certain streets, avenues and thoroughfares
in the Town of Queensbury, reference to which is hereby had..
After due consideration,; and on °:action of Mr. Sleight, seconded by
Mr. Bentley, it was RESOLVED, that .pursuant to Section 66 of the
Transportation Corporations Law, a public hearing be had upon the appl -
i' Iication of said Adirondack Transit Lines, Inc. , for permission to operate
over the following avenues, streets ,and thoroughfares in said town, to
--� wit: (On- Aviation Road between the junction thereof with U.S, 9 and
Mountain View Lane; on Dixon Road between the Aviation Road and its
junction Frith the west city line of Glens Falls; on the Glens Falls-
Corinth Road at the junction with Broad Street at the west city line
of Glens Falls and the Big Boom Road;; and that said hearing be held on
February 9th, 1953, at Queensbury Union Free School District No. 2
Building, Cottage Hill, at 7:30 P.M,., in-conjunctionAwith the hearing on

the notice dated January lst4i '1953 for Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc. ,
adjourned to said .date.

Leslie Coulter was present and discussed with the board the completion
of the installation of the drainage system in Drainage District No. 1
of the Town of Queensbury and submitted a final report on the contract
for. installing storm water drains'-for Drainage District No. 1.

At a public hearing held on the above date at 7:30 P.,M„, at the
schoolhouse of the Union Free School District No.. 2 of the Town of
Queensbury on the Aviation Field Road, the following members were
present:

"burner, Esq. The Adirondack Transit Co. , Inc. , was represented by
McI Phil> ips , Fitzgerald and McCarthy - Gerald JvTcPhil lips of. Counsel.
:Proofs- of publication of notices were received and filed,.
Supervisor .Harris opened the meeting stating ,in general terms the purr
poses thereof, and then called upon Ralph B. Turner to state the prop
osition that his client submitted for cor}sideration of the hearing and
the Town Board, Thereupon, Mr. Turner outlined the propos'a> of his
client and at the conclusion thereof, fir. McPhillips outlined the _
proposal of the Adirondack Transit Lines , Inc, At the conclusion of j
the outlining of. the proposals , Mr,- Harris Mated that anyone else
present was .entitled to ask questions of either of the attorneys,,; ;
to discuss the proposals of the two carriers. and might ask questions
of-the representatives ,,of the carriers, 'Thereupon, several people
expressed their views upon each of the propositions,
