Section 7. The Judgment of any court of competent jurisdiction j
that auy portion of this ordinance is invalid shall not invalidate I
the whole ordinance but only that part thereof declared to be
invalid and the remainder of this ordinance shall, remain -in full
force and effect.

Section 8. This ordinance shall take effect ten days after
its publication and posting as provided by the Town Law.

of the highway law,, of Ernest B. Lackey, Superintendent of highways ,
was reed. Such report showed that- there was 114 miles of road. The

YL. r letter addressed to the Supervisor in reference to an
account which you claimed the Town of Queensbury owes your col'por-
ation for-machinery rental received.

In discussing the matter with the Town Boardi the Town Super-
intendent- of Highways this is to advise that the above have no
knowledge -of engaging for hire any machinery of your Company.
It is believed that you may have reference to a machine which
was placed in the Town by you for demonstration for the purpose of
selling the same to the Town.
Thin is to advise that at no time did the Town. °Board or the
Town Superintendent authorize the use of such machinery for the
benefit of the town but was demonstrated only.
Under the circumstances the Town must disclaim any liability
in the matter.
