RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR FUNDS

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Director of Parks and Recreation (Director) has
advised the Queensbury Town Board that the Town is eligible to apply for funds from the Dormitory
Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) relating to Meadowbrook Preserve trail development,
and
WHEREAS, the Director has requested Town Board authorization to prepare a funding
application requesting funds from DASNY for approximately $75,000 in grant funds toward the
development, design and implementation of an expanded trail system connecting Meadowbrook
Preserve and the adjacent neighborhoods,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town's
Director of Parks and Recreation to prepare a funding application for approximately $75,000 in grant
funds from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York DASNY toward the development,
design and implementation of an expanded trail system connecting Meadowbrook Preserve and the
adjacent neighborhoods, as set forth above, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Parks
and Recreation Director and/or Town Budget Officer to take any other action necessary to effectuate
the terms of this Resolution.
