Town Board of the Town of Que'ensbury
Mr.' Russell Harris , Supervisor
Dear Sir:
i
As per phone conversation of some time ago relative to the proposed in - 1
stallation of a flashing traffic light at the intersection in front of
our firehouse and the installation of °FIREHOUSE" signs on either side
along the -main road, I have conveyed your proposal to our fire_ co,mpany
that the Town would install the light and arrange to pay the light bill.
The signs would have to be provided by our fire Co.
It is understood that the light provided would have a position which could
be used for a red traffic light, the wiring and control of which it would
be necessary for us to provide and install.

Please be advised that vie have decided to accept the Town's proposal -
in -regards this traffic light and hereby request that you 'take .steps
to have same installed.
Thanks for your cooperation in this matter. By such continuing of working
together on these problems we feel sure that the fire protection in the
Town will not only remain at its present high standard but will i1prove.
Very truly yours,.

Mrs. Frances L. Turner
Town Clerk
Glens Falls , New York
Dear Mrs. Turner:
Enclosed are two copies of Contract and Resolution for the purchase of
one used Galion Model 101 Motor Grader, Serial No. MD8883.
I have approved the Contract but with some hesitation since delivery
was made to the Town before the Contract and Resolution was submitted
to me. I strongly feel that it is not a good practice for the various
Town Boards to allow -a piece of equipment, requiring the approval of
the County Superintendent, to be delivered before approval is given,
as complications could arise which might prove embarassing to all
concerned.
Will you please request the Town Board to jeep this in Mind in the
future purchase of road building equipment.
Very truly yours,
(Signed) Herrick Osborne
County Supt, of Highways.
Leslie Coulter was present and discussed with the board his employment
