An application was received and read to the board, from
Ruel E Hopkins requesting appointment as Custodian of voting
machines.

It was resolved that Ruel E Hopkins Republican and Donald
Sullivan, Democrate be and are hereby recommended to the
Board of Elections for appointment as custidians of voting
machines for the Town of Queeanbury.
j It is further resolved that the sum of $50, be and is hereby I
fixed as compensation for each of said Custodians.
Duly adopted by the following vote.

NOTICE is hereby given that the preliminary budget for the
Town of Queensbury for the fiscal vear beginning January 1, 1947 ,
has been completed and filed in the office of the Town clerk, ~ '

ESTABLISHING A CAPITA: RESERVE FUND pursuant
to Section 6-c of the general municipal law.
RESOLVED that pursuant to action 6-c of the General
Municipal Law, a capital reserve fufid be , and the same is
hereby established and set up for the purpose of the financing
of the cost of the acquisition, purchase or construction of
town buildings , acquire necessary lands therefor and equip and
furnish such buildins.
The aggregate of all amounts which shall be paid 'into
such fund from time to time for such purposes shall not exceed t �
the sum of $501000.00
It is further resolved, the supervisor be and is hereby
authorized and directed to establish such capital reserve fund
and to transfer from any funds lagally available therefor the
, sum of $17 ,600.00tto the said capital reserve fund.

'1VHEREAS , the town board of the Town of Queensbury by resolution
adopted on thz 13th day of July, 1946 , authorized the Town
superintendent of highways to purchase certain machinery and
equipment for highway construction and maintenance at a total cost
of $7128.50, subject to the approval of the County superintendent
of highways , and
WHEREAS , a contract for the purchase of said machinery and equipment
was duly entered. into by the town superintendent of highways on the
13th day of July 1940' , which contract has been duly approved by the
county superintendent of highways,
Now,, Therefore, be it,
RESOLVED,
1. The specific object or purpose for which obligations are to be
issued pursuant to this resdlution is to: finance the cost of One
FWD. model SU 5 ton, 15011wheelbase , chassis and cab with 517 cubic
inch Waukesha motor, 1100 x 20 tires, 350 watt generator reflectors,
flares, directional signals , marker lights , pintle hook, heater
and defroster, auxilliary gas tank and spot light, #71525.
2, 'Che' maximum cost of such machinery is $7128.50, and the plan of
financing such cost is as follows : By paying from the machinery fund
the sum of $358.00, and the balance of the cost is. to be provided by
the issuance of serial bonds in the amount of $6770.00 pursuant to
this resolution.
3.The following determinations are hereby made
(a) The period of probable usefulness of such machinery and
equipment is five nears.
(b) The subdivision of naragraph a of section 11 :00 of the
Local finance law which is applicable in the circumstances

(c) TbA maturity of the obligations authorized by this
resolution will not be in excess of five years.
4. The down payment to be provided for pursuant to 6ection
lo7 of the Lecal Finance Law has been provided from current
funds .
5 . That the Town of Queensbury issue its seraal bands in the
amount of $6770.00 to finance such -cost in accordance with
the financial plan set forth above . Such bonds shall be dated
approximately as of October lst, 1946 and the power to fix
and determine the exact date of said obligations is hereby
delegated to the supervisor.
60 Such bonds shall be numbered i to 3 inclusive , shall be in
the de nominations of $2257.00 each,and shall mature in annual
installments as follows; 1947, $2257;1948,$2257 ; 19491$2257;
this bond may be called for redemption on any date prior to
maturity after giving at least thirty days notice of the date of
redemption by mailing of written notice to the registered
holder of the address as shovda in the book of the town clerk
of the Town of Queensbury, and interest shall cease to be paid
thereon after such date of redemption; the power to determine the
date upon which such installments shall become due and payable is
hereby delegated to the supervisor. The bonds shall be issued
in bearer form without coupons , and shall -contain a power to
convert to registered form. ThP bonds shall bear interest at a.
rate not ' exceeding two and one-half percent per annum payable
annually. Payments of such interest shall be evidenced by
notation thereof on the bonds at the time of payment. The bonds

interest on such sum at the rate of two and one-half percent
per annum, on the 1st day of 1194 , and annually in each

7. The suoervisorrw is hereby delegated the power to prepare such
bonds and to sell such obligations at not less than par and accrued {
interest, and at such sale to fix the interest rate to be borne by
such obligations within the limitations set forth in this resolution
The supervisor shall deliver such obligations to the purchaser thereof a
only against cash or a certified check. The proceeds of sale of the
obligations shall be deposited in a special bank account as required !
by section 165 of the Local finance Law. The bowers delegated to the
supervisor by this resolution shall be exercised in conformity with
the provisions of the Local Finance Law.
8. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Upon the question of the adoption of the foregoing resolution, the
