I hereby recommend that the Town of -�ueensbliry acquire
by purchase pursuant to section 142 of the Highway law as
amended by Chapter 731 of the Laws of 1945 the following
equipment at a cost to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ,
Ong- Full hydraulic Snow plow. .

certain equipment pursuant to the provisions of section 142 of the

Therefore -be it resolved that the Town Board will meet
to hold a )Dub1-ic,- hearing,:to consider such ;purchase on the 7th
day of aJovftbor,1946 at 7 : 3n P.M. at the Clerk's office, Town
of `�ueensburv,
Further re_�clved that the Town Clerk be and is hereby authorized
and directed to cause to be published once in the Glens Falls
times a notice in substantially the following form.

Notice is hereby given in compliance with section 142 of the
Highwav Law as amended by Chaptbr 731 of the Laws of 1945, that
Ernes. ,unerintendent of Hi¢hways of the Town of
Oieensbury, Warren County, N.Y. has recommended the purchase
of one full hydraulic snow vlow at a cost to exeeed five hundred
dollars . The Town Board of the Town of rueensbury will meet
at the Town Cl'erk' s Office , Ridge Road, in said Town of
Queensbury, N.Y. , on the 7th day of November, 1946 , at 7 :30
to consider such purchase .

Whereas New York rower and light Corporation has submitted
to this board a proposed contracta copy -:, .ich is hereto
atihexed : for furnishing a street lighting . service in town
of Queensbury for a period of five years from the first day
of Octoberl946 , considering initially of 3-1000 lumen, 2
4000 Lumen, and 4-6000 Jumen lamps to cost approximately
$423.00 per -.nnum, and
71hereas , said contract be entered into , and further,
Resolved, that the supervisor be and hereby is authorized
and directed . to execute for and on behalf of Town of Queensbury
said contractfor -s-uch street lighting service, and the Town clerk
is hereby directed to attach the Town seal and attest same.

Upon the hearing upon the preliminary budget, the/notice of
publication of notice of such hearing and proof of posting
notices of such hearing were read ,end filed.

Whereas this town board has met at the time and place specified
in the notice of public hearing on the preliminary budget
and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon.
Now therefore be it resolved that the preliminary budget
.be amended by malting the following changes.
that the sum of $3500.00 be placed in the general government
appropiations for the purpose otpayment to the employees
retirement system.
And be it further resolved that such preliminary budget as
hereinbefore amended, be andhAdoMd as the n nAual budget
of this town for the fiscal year beginning January lst;1947
and that such budget so adopted be entered in detail in thy:
