Mr. Akins spoke briefly explaining the purposes and necessity for the formation of a volunteer Fire Company. After dis - cussion, the matter was deferred until Jan. 31 so that in the mean- time,: the Town Board could ascertain from the County Attorney, the rights, liabilities and responsibility of the Town. of Queensbury, in the event the members of the Town Board approved the formation 4of the volunteer Fire Company. Erne,O,xHillis and Edwin Bell were present and the Board discussed with t?am the appointment of 'a chairman to the Board of Assessors. Mr. Bel�,*steed that he felt that Mr. Hillis in view of his long experience in reference to assessments should be appointed.
