Gentlemen:
That there may be no confusion ;but a complete understanding,
we are hereby notifying you that this Department is not billing any
water rents outside of the City, the service of which is within the
North Glens Falls Water Districts, the West Glens Falls Water Dis -
trict and the Ridge Road Water District.

There are some water rents in the North Glens Falls Water Dis-
trict which this Department has billed and which have not been paid.
Not being certain as to. the legal liability for payment thereof, I
am assuming and bespeak the cooperation of your Board in the collect-
ion of these rents and the turning over to this Department of the
proceeds.
It is hoped and expected that the necessary measuring degices
can be installed on the Xains feeding these Districts prior to
May 1st, next.

Resolution #27; introduced by Councilman Walkup, seconded by Justice
Bentley:

It is resolved that the Town Clerk be and is hereb y aihthorized
to cause to be 'published a notice in substantially the following form
in the G.1ens Falls Times :
NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Installation of water 'main on Bay Road in the Town
of Queensbury, New York
Sealed proposals for furnishing labor and installing an eight
inch (8" ) pater main from city line along Bay Road to a point oppo-
site the entrance to the manufacturing plant of the United States
Catheter and Instrument Corporation, a distance of approximately
sixteen hundred feet (16001 ) together with all specials , branches,
2 fire hydrants, gate valves , meter vault and by-pass piping and

appurtenances, brook crossing and crossing under the tracks of the
Lake George Branch of the Deleware and Hudson Railroad Corporation,
will be received at the office of the Town Clerk on Ridge Road in
the Town of Queensbury, N.Y.. on the 28th day of April,. 1948, at
7:30 P.M.

It is further resolved that the Town, Board will neet on the
said -26th day of April, 1948 at 7:30 o'clock in the evening of that
day to receive and act on any proposals received.
It is further resolved that the Town Board reserves the right
to reject any or all bids.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Cdr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr.

The -Board convened at 7:30 P.M.
Minutes of meeting held March 27th were read an approved.
The'Mountainside' Grange made application in writ to the Town Board
to care for and conserve the Scotch and Jenkins cemeteries in the Town
of Queensbury.

WHEREAS, by�Chapter'814 of the Laws of 1948, the Town Board of the
Town of Queensbury was authorized and empowered to appoint three
persons to ,..00nstitute the Board of Cemetery Commissioners of the
Town of QZPensbury for the purposes therein specified
RESOLVED that, Sidney VanDusen be end he .hereby _is appointed a
member of the Board of Cemetery Commissioners of the Town. of Queens -
bury for a term which shall expire on the 30th day. of June, 1949, and
further
RESOLVED that, Frank L. Cowles , Jr. , be and he hereby is appointed a
member of the Board of Cemetery Commissioners of the Town of Queens-
bury for a term which shall expire on the '30th' day of June, ' `1950, and
further
RESOLVED that Joseph F. Regan be and he hereby is appointed a member
of the Board of Cemetery Commissioners of the Town,of Queensbury for
a term which shall expire on the 30th day of June, .''951, and further
RESOLVED that before entering their duties as ' such Cemetery Commiss-
ioners, the said members hereby appointed shall take and subscribe the
constitutional oath of office, and after having so qualified, the said
Cemetery Commissioners shall have all of the powers and duties pre -
scribed by said Chapter 814 and as otherwise provided by law and shall
also have the power to make and adopt any and all rules and regulations
which they shall deem necessary and advisable to carry out their said
duties and powers and to elect one of their members as Chairman, one of
their members as Treasurer and one of -their members as Secretary, and
