The following bids for the installation of an 8" water main along _
Bay Road were received:

Gentlemen:
We agree to furnish labor, materials , and perform all work
necessary for the installation of an eight (8) inch water main
along Bay Road in accordance with your plans and specifications
as prepared by E.L.H. Meyer, Engineer, for the lump $ m of
TWELVE THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN DOLLARS AND NO CENTS
($12,215.00).

In, accordance with your advertisement, I hereby ,propase to
furnish all labor, . equipment and incidentals necessary ' to the trench-
ing, baekfilling and laying of 1600 lin. ft. of 8" C•X. water pipe,
setting- of 2 hydrants , the construction of meter pit and the placing
of indidental valves and fittings ; on Bay Road for the North Glens
Falls Water District, all as indicated on drawing prepared by
E.L•H.Meyer, P.E. and drawn by G.C.Tripp C.E. under date of December
6,1947, . and in accordance with the specifications accgmpanying these
plans, for a lump sum in the amount of
EIGHT. THOUSAND DOLLARS $8,000.00
This proposal is based on my furnishing all materials .except
pipe and fittings for the meter pit. In the event that the clause in
the specifications• on page one to the effect that the 'Town, shall
furnish- all materials includes all materials for `the_ construction of
the meter pit, this pro osal is hereby reduced from that indicated- by
a sum in the amount of 350.00 .

RESOLVED that bids of Joseph Brendese dated April 26, 1948 and
the bid- of the Adirondack Construction Co. dated April' 26th,1948
for they laying of 1600 feet of 8" pipe in the North G1�ens Falls
Water District Ext. be and the same are hereby. rejected. „
It is further resolved that the Town Clerk be and is hereby
authorized and directed to return checks submitted with the bids to
the bidders.
Duly adopted by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr.
Harris.
Noes - None
