$esolution #30 introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Councilman

RESOLVED, that the contract for installing the water pipe on
Byy Street in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared
by Ernest L.H. Meyer be let to Robert Shaw of Greenwich, N.Y. ,
Contra-ctkor, for the sum of
FIFTY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of said town be and here-
by is authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Town of
Queensbury and said Water District.
FURTHER RESOLVED that before the Contract becomes effective,
it shall have the approval of the County Attorney.
Duly adopted this 5th day of May, 1948, by the following vote:
Ayes - Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and Mr.
Harris.
Noes - None

It is resolved that the Supervisor be and is hereby authorized
_ and directed to make the necessary application for and obtain the
necessary permit from the Deleware & Hudson R.R• Corp. for laying• of
an 8" water main along Bay Road under the Lake , George branch of said
railroad.

Minutes of meetings held• on April 26, 1948, May 5th, 1948 and May 6th,
y= 1948 were read and approved.
Also present : Frank Cowles , Cemetery Commissioner. The privilege of
the Floor was extended to James Harris and Gordon Barnum who talked
with the Board in reference to blocking the Elbion Hotel road.

IT IS RESOLVED that Ernest L.H. Meyer be and is hereby appoint-
ed and retained as Engineer inspector for the laying of the 1600
feet of 8" water main along Bay Road in the North Glens Falls Water
District extension, pursuant to a certain contract dated May 7th,
1948 entered into by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury and
Burr b2, Stark as agent for Joseph Brandese at per diem rate of $30.00
plus actual and necessary expenses, provided however that the total
amount to be received by said Ernest L.H. Meyer shall not exceed
4 per centum of the total cost of the installation.
