endation:
June 11, 1948
I wish to recommend to the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, the
_. purchase of one 22 ton truck cab and chassis, with 900 x 20 tired with
G.V.W. approximately 19,000 1 bs. , piston displacement not less than
269 cu.in. , H.P. not less than 100 at 3,000 r.p.m. , wheel base appr.

one 2 ,ton truck with 3 yd. dump box with 8.25 tires , G.V.W. appr.
16,000 with two speed axle, not less than 95 h.p. ® 3,000 R.P.M. ,
wheel base appr.135 in.

It is resolved that the Clerk be and is hereby authorized and
directed to cause to be published once in the Glens Falls Times the
following notice:

Notice is hereby given in compliance with section 142 of the
Highways Law that Ernest Lackey, Superintendent of Highways of :the Town
of Queensbury, Warren County, N.Y. , has recommended the purchase of
two Mucks at a cost to exceed five hundred dollars each.
The Town Board will meet at the Town Clerk's Office, Ridge Rd. ,
Town of Queensbury, New York, on the 25th day of June, 1948 at 7:30

than the following specifications :

Time of delivery: immediate upon acceptance of bid. Such sealed
proposals must be received at said Clerk's office not later than
7:30 P-M. _on the 25th day of June, 1948.
The said Town Board reserves the right to reject any. part or
all of said proposals.
Further Resolved: said Board will meet on the said 25th day of
June, 1948 at the Clerk's Office at 8:30 P.M. to oy,3n and consider
said proposals.

The Board convened at 7:30
Meeting held pursuant to resolution #40 adopted June llth, 1948
The notice .of hearing ,p-.blished pursuant to section 142 of the Highway
Law was read to the Board, calling for a hearing upon the recommen -
dation of the Supt. of .Highways for the purchase of Highway machinery
exceeding the cost of 4500.
No one appeared opposing the purchase of said equipment.
The Board then took up the matter of the bids which were called for
pursuant to resolution #40 adopted June 11, 1948 advertising for the
purchase of machinery for the Town. The following regolutlons were
adopted:

WHEREAS an error was made in the notice of advertisement for
the purchase by the Town of two trucks ,
Therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Board return all bids as
