stream pollution

291 Glen St. Queensbury (r)
Glens Falls, N.Y.
Dear Doctor: I
i
Complaint has been made against an outhouse at the DeLong Fuel
Co. yards at 58 Glenwood Avenue.
It would appear that this outhouse is poised over the brook
that is the outlet of the Hovey Ice Pond. Naturally at each use the
stream is polluted.
. Fishermen are registering complaints about all such outhouses
that they find. •A distinguished gentleman from Connecticut has com
plained directly to our commissioner about one which is located on a
stream tributare to a fishing stream near Shushan, New York. He is
receiving most respectful attention.
I trust you will have no difficulty in securing a correction of
this health hazard in your district.
