The dockets of the Justice of Peace, vouchers , cancelled decks ,' claims
and minute book were :submitted to the Board for examination and audit.
Dr. Clare was given the privilege of the` Floor and he discussed briefly

i nt about the outhouse on the brook leading from the Brickyard, had been

The Board proceeded to audit and examine the books , docketa and other
papers submitted and at 12 noon, recessed to l P.M., and reconvened at
1 P.. with. the same members being,
present, and continued examination
and audit: After' the completion of such examination and audit, the
Board a4ppted. the following resolutions :

WHEREAS there exists surplus moneys in the amount of Eleven Thousand

RESOLVED. that, the Supervisor be and is hereby authorized to transfer

L SERIAL BOND RESOLUTION 1948

RIDGE ROAD WATER DISTRICT.
WAEREAS, .the Ridge Read Water District of the Town of Queensbury
was duly` established in May, " 1945, and a' contract was duly made with
the city`.'of 'Glens Ft11s for the furnishing of water to said district.
AND WHEREAS it was necessary for the improvement of said water
district to construct a meter vault and connect with the City of Glens
Falls for. the metering of the water furnished to said district.
AND WHEREAS, the town board of the Town of Queensbury acting as
water commissioners of said district did enter into a contract with
DLu-m & Stevens for the construct .An of a cement block meter vault for �;

the hum of Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars, ($850.00) , and did purchase
material consisting of pipes and fittin s and a meter was installed at
a cost of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00, making a total cost of said
improvement in the amount of Twelve Hundred Fifty Dollars , ($1250.00).
AND WI EREAS, there is not sufficient funds belonging to said

? NOW; THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED:
1. The specific object or purpose for which this obligation is to be
issued pursuant to this resolution is to finance the cost of the con
1 structzor_ of said concrete meter vault and connection the water mains
of said district with the City of Glens Falls , and the metering of
water to said district.
2. The maximum cost of such improvement is $1250.00 and the plan of
financing such':cost is by the issuance of serial bonds in the amount of
•$1250.000 pursuant to this resolution.
3. The following determinations are hereby made:
(a) The period of probable usefulness of such vault and the conn-
ections is ten (10) years.
(b) The subdivision of paragraph a of Section 11:00 of the Local
i Finance Law which is .applicable in the circumstances is subdivision 1123"
(c) The maturity of the obligation authorized by this resolution
will not be in excess of five years.
4. That" the Town. of Queensbury issue its serial bonds in the amount
of $1250.00 to finance such cost in accordance with the financial plan
set forth above. Such bonds shall be dated approximately as of Decem-
ber 29, 1948,a and ,the power to fix and determine the exact date of said
obligations is hereby delegated to the Supervisor.
5. Such bonds shall be numbered 1 and 2 inclusive, shall be in the
,s denominations of $625.00 each, and shall matur3 :�_n annual installments
as follows : 1950, $625.00; 19 51, $625.00; the power to determine the
date upon which such installments` shall .become due and payable is here-
by delegated to the Supervisor. The bonds shall be issued in bearer
form -without coupons and shall not contain a power to convert to reg-
istered form. The bonds shall bear interest at a rate not. exceeding
two and one-half percent per annum payable annually. Payments of such
interest-shall be evidenced by notation` thereof on the bonds at tj.e_
time of payment. The bonds shall be in substantially the following form:

SERIAL BOND OF 1948,
The Town of Queensbury, in the County of Warren, a-municipality
of•the State of New York, hereby acknowledges itself_ indebted, and for
value received, promises to pay to the bearer of this bond on the 1st
day of February, 1950, the sum of Six Hundred Twenty-five Dollars , and
to pay interest on such sum at the rate of two and one-half percent per
annum on the first day of February, 1950, and. annually in each year
from the date of the` bond until it matures upon presentation of the
bond for notation of such interest payment thereon. Both principal and
interest on the bond will be paid in lawful money of the United States
of America, at the Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company, Glens
Falls, N.Y. P... Y,
This bond may not be converted into a registered bond-.
This bond is one of an authorized issue, the -aggregate. _princiT)al
amount of which is $1250.00, the bonds of which are of like. tenor, ex-
cept as to number, maturity and denominatio_i, and are issued pursuant to
a bond resolution. entitled "Serial Bond Resolution 1948 Ridge Road V"Date r
District duly adopted by the town board of the Town -of Queensbury, New
York, on the -28th day of December, 1948.
The faith and credit of such Town of Queensbury, New York, are

hereby irrevocably pledged for the punctual payment of the princl.pal
and interest on this bond according; to -its terms.
It -is hereby certified and recited that all conditions , .act's and
things required by the Constitution and Statutes of the State of New
York to exist, to have happened, and to have been performed precedent
to and in the issuance of this bond, exists , have happened and have
been perforiLed, and that the issue of bonds of which this is one, to -
gether with all other indebtedness of such Town of Queensbury, Nev� Yorh,
is within every debt and other limit prescribed by the Constitution and
Laws of such State.

70 The Supervisor is hereby delegated the porter to prepare such
bonds and to sell such obligations at not less than par and accrued
interest, and at such sale to fix the interest rate to be borne by such
obligations within the limitations set forth in this resolution. The
Supervisor shall deliver such obligations to the purchaser thereof only
against cash or a certified check. The proceeds of sale of the obliga-
tions shall be deposited in a special bank account as required by
Secti•oh- 65 of the Local Finance Law. The pocaer delegated to the Super-
visor by this resolution shall be exercised in conformity with the pro-
visions of the Local Finance Law.
8. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Upon the question_ of the adoption of the foregoing resolution,
the following voted as follows : Ayes ,all; Noes , None
The above resolution having received at least a twos!thirds vote
of the members of the tomn board was declared by the Supervisor to be
--duly adopted.

WHEREAS the Supervisor, Justices of Peace, Superintendent of High-
ways and the Town Clerk have presented ,to the town board dockets, can
celled checks , books, vouchers , minute books and other records for ex-
amination and audit bir the Board.
RESOLVED that after such examination of such dockets , books,
vouchers , checks,; minute books so presented, this Board finds that such
books and records have been accurately kept and that all moneys coining
into% the hands of the several officers of the Town have been properly
accounted 'for and paid out according to law.
