Included in the documents submitted to VISION were; cover letter from Applicant's Engineer, Site Plan Application, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, Site Plan Drawings 1 through 14 prepared by Jarrett Engineers PLLC dated 3/16/09, and supporting application data. Based on our review, we offer you the following comments: 1. The plans should include the new location of the existing guard station to be relocated. 2. Grading, pavement elevations, and elevations around the building should be included on the plans. Grading along the east side of the structure should be clarified on the plans. 3. The location of the stabilized construction entrance should be identified on the plans. 4. Inlet protection proposed for the structures during construction should be labeled on the plans. 5. The size of the proposed water service should be included on the plans and consideration should be given to providing a shutoff valve for the water service. 6. The need for an additional site fire hydrant in the vicinity of this new building should be reviewed by the Fire Marshall. 7. The calculations for stormwater measures identified in the Appendix of the SWPPP should be provided to our office for review. Thank you, and please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions, comments, or require addition information. Sincerely, Daniel W. Ryan, P.E. Fire Marshals office may require addition emergency lighting as lighting calculations were not submitted with the plans. Deputy Fire Marshal Gary K. I have not received a return call. Additionally, I have had conversations with the Safety Manager at Great Escape and he indicates that he had a brief conversation with the Fire Chief regarding the issue and it was decided that the driver policy in place for attending the vehicle would preclude the issue of interference with approaching fire apparatus. Having said this, the Fire Marshals office is comfortable that the submitted plans will not interfere with fire department response to this property. A Good Place to Live " PLAN REVIEW Great Escape Food Whse SP- 23-2009 4/8/2009 I have reviewed the submitted drawings and submittals for the above project, and offer the following comments. 1) The Fire Marshals office has a concern that staged trucks or trucks backed up to the loading will impair emergency service access to the gate. An overlay is requested showing the travel footprint of an Engine and Ladder vehicle from QCFD, to verify access. 2) Currently, the Fire Chief and Safety Manager have a plan in place for access through the gate. The Fire Marshals office will leave that arrangement in place. Z7 C,L \ ?A5, 4A-ME Va, CAS L rfi C Fire Marshal 4 Nh - -t- t --> 0& Michael J Palmer 742 Bay Road Queensbury NY 12804 518 761 8206 firemarshal@queensbury.net Fire Marshal 's Office - Phone: 518-761-8206 - Fax: 518-745-4437 firemarshal@queensburij.net - it umqueensbury.net
