DISCUSSION: HILAND PARK PUD – SEQRA AND WETLAND
DELINEATION
Councilman Sanford-The Planning Board made a motion to request that the Town Board
reconsider the SEQRA findings Statement on the Hiland Park PUD due to recent
developments regarding storm water wetlands and flooding. This is in concert with a
recommendation for a comprehensive watershed analysis of the Meadowbrook corridor.
The Town Engineer has been asked to do work in this area including that area of the Girl
Scout Camp to Haviland Road delineating the wetland area…I want to put into place the
appropriate request that a packet of information be put together, a comprehensive packet.
I want to look at the whole thing.
Councilman Strough-A study that would analyze hydrological conditions current and
potential build out such as storm water flows, hydrological pressures and loads and water
table conditions and flows.
Councilman Sanford-In terms of the SEQRA revisiting, the Planning Board wants us to
re-examine SEQRA for the whole project so that next time there may be a building that
may be contemplated that they will have a better degree of certainty that it has been
looked at in terms of hydrology.
Councilman Boor-Reviewed several issues in this area in regards to the original project
which are no longer as engineered. Asked if the Code Enforcement Officer has look into
these issues.
Councilman Sanford-Requested a report on it, I want to make sure I am carbon copied
and informed on every step of the way as this program unfolds.
