RESOLUTION CONCERNING CONSTRUCTION
OF PROPOSED WATER TREATMENT PLANT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
RESOLUTION NO. 341,92

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury previously authorized a review of the
construction plans for the Water Treatment Plant Administration Building for the purposes of developing a
plan to delete the finishing of the second floor of the Administration Building and negotiating a credit with
the contractors employed in connection with the project, and
WHEREAS, O'Brien & Gere Engineers have reviewed the plans for the contracts and have
contacted contractors concerning the aforesaid deletion of work and have reported the anticipated savings
to the Town Supervisor, by way of letter dated June 15, 1992, and
WHEREAS, a copy of the aforesaid letter having been presented at this meeting and reviewed by
the Town Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby determines that the Water
Treatment Plant Administration Building and, specifically, the second floor thereof, should be completed as
proposed and no revisions in work requested of the contractors.
Duly adopted this 16th day of June, 1992, by the following vote:
AYES : Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Brandt
NOES : Mr. Caimano

Discussion held regarding a rezoning application of Red Lobster-it was the decision of the Town Board not
to take any action at this next regular meeting...
Workshop discussion held Water Rate Study...
O'Brien and Gere firm present-Mr. Tony Giess spoke for the firm...presented the Town Board with a draft
report on water rents and taxes with charts on no expansion of the treatment plant and with the expansion of
the treatment plant and how it will affect water rents and taxes...(draft report on file) Rick Gell reported on
the philosophy of the report -balancing of operation and maintenance costs with rents and capital expenses
being paid for from taxes...discussion held on water rents being adjusted as per peak and non peak uses...it
was a request that the firm review the 4% increase per year that was factored into the report...also discussed
the sale of water to other communities and the affects of industrial growth in the community.. . noted further
workshops will be held to finalize the report...
Supervisor Brandt-spoke to the board regarding having management analysis report done for the Water
Department...noted that the Water Dept Superintendent supported the idea of such a study, a resolution
authorizing such a report will be brought forth at that next Town Board Meeting...
On motion the meeting was adjourned.
