RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF
GRANT FUNDS FROM THE FUND FOR LAKE GEORGE TOWARD
NORTH QUEENSBURY WASTEWATER
DISPOSAL DISTRICT NO. 1 SYSTEM UPGRADES

WHEREAS, the Fund for Lake George is a not-for-profit, privately funded organization
dedicated to the protection of Lake George, its water quality and the overall health of the Lake
George Watershed, and
WHEREAS, the Fund for Lake George has awarded certain grant funding related to
projects to help protect Lake George’s water quality, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board established the North Queensbury Wastewater
Disposal District No. 1 – Dunham’s Bay to serve 71 properties in the Dunham’s Bay area of the
Town (Project), and
WHEREAS, the Fund for Lake George wishes to grant $30,000 to the Town toward such
Project for septic system upgrades, and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to accept such Grant funds to be used toward the costs of
such septic system upgrades,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby accepts up to $30,000 in Grant
funding from The Fund for Lake George toward septic system upgrades in the North Queensbury
Wastewater Disposal District No. 1 – Dunham’s Bay, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further establishes estimated revenues and expenses as
follows:
Increase Revenue in Other Economic Assistance Account No.: 053-0000-51989
by $30,000; and
Increase Expenses in Misc. Contractual Account No.: 053-8130-4400 by $30,000;
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to
amend the 2019 Town Budget, make any adjustments, budget amendments, transfers or prepare any
documentation necessary to establish such appropriations and estimated revenues and effectuate all
terms of this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
execute any needed Agreement between the Town and The Fund for Lake George and/or any other
needed documentation and the Town Supervisor, Town Counsel and/or Town Budget Officer to take
such other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
