2.0HUNT RADIO ANTENNA - REZONING DISCUSSION
SUPERVISOR STEC- The issue here is that an antenna has been erected approximately
fifty feet away from where it was originally thought to be going. It is on the wrong side
of a property line but Mr. Hunt does own both pieces of property. The reason this is a
problem is because the property this is on, is also a boundary line between two zones.
There are two options: request the owner to move antenna or the Town can move the
zone line.
JIM HUNT- Explained to the Board where the tower stands and the problems with the
location. There is a grid system under the tower of copper wire, every three degrees there
is a hundred and twenty radios that extend outward. About a year and a half ago
preparations were made to move the tower, but if the tower is moved it will skew the
radio system. Due to this it would be more practical to rezone that parcel.
SUPERVISOR STEC- Suggested Mr. Hunt address the Town Board in a letter laying out
what he would like to do to the lot line and what he would like the Town to do after the
lot line is finished.
3.0SAN SOUCI PROPERTY RE-ZONING REQUEST DISCUSSION
ATTORNEY JOHN LAPPER PRESENT
SUPERVISOR STEC- Received a letter from Attorney Lapper requesting the rezoning of
the San Souci.
ATTORNEY LAPPER- The current owner, Larry Clute, would like to add on to the
kitchen, a hundred and fifty four square feet. Asking that this to be zoned neighborhood
commercial zone.
SUPERVISOR STEC- After further discussion it was the decision of the Board to consult
with Town Counsel to find out what the options are.
4.0 GLENS FALLS HEATING & REFRIGERATION PROPERTY RE-
ZONING REQUEST DISCUSSION- BRIAN NELSON
ATTORNEY LAPPER- This is another preexisting, non-conforming use on Corinth
Road. Because it is preexisting, non-conforming it has been rezoned to residential.
Owners are asking for it to be changed to commercial industrial, but light industrial will
work.
SUPERVISOR STEC- Recommended Mr. Nelson to continue with his application.
5.0 VIRGINIA MOHLER PROPERTY REZONING REQUEST DISCUSSION
ATTORNEY LAPPER- This property is located on Bay Road across the street from the
house that was rezoned last year, south of the Valente project. Proposed that this be
rezoned from multi-family residential to professional office.
SUPERVISOR STEC- This change will occur upon the passage of the new zoning
ordinance.
DISCUSSION HELD
ATTORNEY LAPPER-Surrey Fields Homeowner Association would like the Town
Board to consider taking over their sewer line.
SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING 03-31-2008 MTG#14 554
TOWN BOARD-Noted that it is not built to town standards, will not take over the lines.
SUPERVISOR STEC-Would like to dedicate some time in April to get together for the
boards issues with zoning. Recommended any issues that the board has with the map get
those issues to Stu Baker he needs this before the specifics of language changes.
COUNCILMAN MONTESI-Would like to schedule something with the Water and
Sewer Departments.
SUPERVISOR STEC-Would like to schedule for the next workshop to talk about their
list.
COUNCILMAN MONTESI-Spoke regarding letter he received regarding the three
roundabouts near the school.
COUNCILMAN STROUGH-Recommended doing the worst intersection first, Farr Lane,
and let the school try to integrate in. Lets see what kind of impact that will have noting
there will be a meeting regarding this.
COUNCILMAN BREWER-Asked to be notified regarding this meeting.
COUNCILMAN STROUGH-Thursday, will meet with Craig Brown and Councilman
Montesi and Town Counsel on the Transient Merchant Law. Spoke regarding meeting to
be held regarding Cable TV noting a State Representative from the Public Service
Commission will attend to recommend what they can do with our draft thoughts.
COUNCILMAN BREWER-Asked for copy to be sent.
COUNCILMAN BREWER-Spoke regarding the Balloon Festival and the funding for the
festival noting what they are asking for is too much, proposed that they do ten instead of
fifteen. Agreed with proposal, bed tax monies will be used.
COUNCILMAN STROUGH-Does not have a problem with this just need to find out
what it is being used for.
COUNCILMAN BREWER-Asked Supervisor Stec to ask for a Schedule A so a
resolution can be prepared.
COUNCILMAN MONTESI-Asked how many members on the Board of Ethics?
SUPERVISOR STEC-We have one member two weeks from now would like to do
another interview for the Ethics Board and Zoning Board.
