The board convened at 9;60 A.M.
The geverai officers presented their books and dockets and other_ papers
for examination and audit.
The board proceeded to examine and audit the books and records of the
Supervisor, dockets of the Justices of the Peace and the records of the
Superintendent of Highways and Town Clerk; and after such .ezimination
and audit, the following resolution was adopted:

WHEREAS, the Supervisor, Justices of the Peace, $up,erintendent
of Highways aM Town Clerk have presented to the Town Board dockets,
cancelled checks, books, vouchers, minute books and other records for
examination and audit by the hoard,
Resolved that after such examination of such dockets, books vouch;
ers, checks, minute books so presented, the board finds that such books
gnd records have. been accurately kept and that all moneys coming into
toe hands of several officers of the Town have been properly accounted
for and paid out according to law. .

.,-'authorized and directed to transfer the said sum of $10,400 from said
deneral Town Find to the capital reserve fund established, pursuant to
' section 6-C of General Municipal law by Resolution No. 57 adopted Oct.
5, 1946.

that the appointment of Henry E. Clarke, Health Officer in the Town of
Queensbury, was illegal, as the Attorney General in an informal opinion
has stated that .the appointment of an employee over age seventy in a
non-do Impetit ve ' elass fieat on of-Civil service is .il2egal, Therefore,
his membership in this system is erroneous.

In order that we may withdraw Mr. Clarke from membership in this
system, you must advise this Department, by return mail, as to the dis-
position made in the case of this employee.
