Mrs. Burt Turner y
Town Clerk of Queensbury,
388 Ridge St,
Glens Falls, N.Y.
Dear Mrs. Turner:
My home at 17 Garrison Road was damaged this past week due to the water
pipes in the street of Garrison Road backing up. It took considerable
time of a plumber to locate this trouble and city of Glens Falls, fin-
ally, through Mr. Jerry Golden pumped the cellar. ,Outside of the cost
of the plumber we have not noticed any damage, althou#h until our in-
laid tile dries we cannot be sure.
I would like to make claims to the Town of Queensbury for cost invol-
ved.
Thanking you for your consideration I am,
Cordially yours,

Fred LePann and Robert Batease presented a petition which was read to the
board:
February 22, 1950
We, the undersigned, do hereby request that a black-top be laid on our
road at Twin Channell Park, R.F.D. #2, West Glens Falls, New York. The
following . are our reasons for making this request:
1. The read` commissioner has. informed us that if our road had a black-
top the snow plows could come down our hill much sooner than is now poss-
ible. Now, we have to wait until' the large snow plow is available. This
usually .results in our losing several hours of work each time we have a
storm.
2. After- the roads have•frozen,. the ruts make it impossible for the
workers to *eep' our roads in decent condition for travel. This causes much
wear and tear on all cars.
3. In scime cases; business is very much impaired by the condition of the
roads , 'because the road remains impossible for several hours at a time.
4. In the spring and fa1:L;; it.:, s,. lmpossible= to keep the mud from the
