RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR REVISED PURCHASING PROCEDURES

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is,
desirous of revising its purchasing procedures and also adding
additional procedures for those times when bidding is not required
by law, and
WHEREAS, effective January 1, 1992, General Municipal
Law Section 104-b - Procurement Policies and Procedures provides
that the governing board of every political subdivision and any
district therein, by resolution shall adopt internal policies and
procedures governing all procurements of goods and services which
are not required to be made pursuant to the competitive bidding
requirements of Section 103 of the General Municipal Law, and
WHEREAS, paragraph 3 of said General Municipal Law
Section 104-b provides that comments concerning the policies and
procedures shall be solicited from officers of the political
subdivision or district therein involved in the procurement process
prior to the enactment of policies and procedures, from time-to-
time thereafter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
hereby authorizes the Town Clerk to circulate the proposed
purchasing procedures to all department heads of the Town of
Queensbury with the notation added that the policies will be
considered for adoption by the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
on the 16th day of March, 1992.

following vote:
